He expects you to read the book and learn it yourself, and gives 5 oral questions from the study guide (which is just your notes) that are sometimes completely random. he barely skims over the subject in his lectures, and instead tries to force opinions onto you and talk about his life. Easy B, though.

Professor pollard is a know it all, but he is sarcastic and hilarious. If you just do the study guides and come to class you won't have anything lower than a B

Overall great teacher. Even though this is a lecture class he knows how to keep students attention and students actually want to listen to what he has to say. A book is essential to passing and so is studying because hes test can be rather hard.

This class was extremely fun, professor is hilarious and down to earth, which is why the attendance being 45% of your grade is pretty awesome, because the class is actually enjoyable. The study guides are long but he grades them pretty easily, vice versa for the quizzes though. Oh, and no final exam.

Mr. Pollard is a cool teacher that requires you to be in class and he assigns everybody with study guides as homework. The study guides are mandatory and every two weeks he quizzes you on the study guide. The quizzes aren't that bad and aren't a big part of your grade as attendance and study guides.

If you are just trying to get hum2020 over with abd get a B/C take him, but if you are trying to get an A to keep your gpa popping dont take him because most likely you will not get that A. For an A youd have to pass his verbal quizes which are kinda tough. Im sure there is a better professor out there! This one wasnt for me.

If you want to know your grade in the class dont take this teacher because you will not know your grade the whole semester.. That will kinda stress you out when you fail all the quizes because it's impossible to pass. He gives 8 quizes 5 oral questions from a study guide of 20 words that you have to read about and think of what he might as onquiz

He expects us to learn by taking our own notes from the textbook and never talks about what's going to be on the test. I knew from the first day of class that I would not like his class. I decided to stick with it because I thought it would get better, it never did. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HIM!

Professor Robert M Pollard was an "ok" teacher. He did teach pretty well I guess, but his tests are five questions that are oral. You have to go to class everyday and hand in your STUDY GUIDES ON TIME! He sumitted my grade as "C", but turns I actually got an A. I transposed your grade with another student as I entered the grades." Beware! Good luck

LITERALLY all you have to do is show up every day, do the study guides, and get a C on your quizzes and you'll pass with at least a B. His lectures are long, boring, biased, etc. Take him for an easy A though. Probably the most straight forward class you'll take.

Professor Pollard is a very bright and very intellectual man. He will not sugar coat things and tells it like it is. You really have to critically think in his class and you earn the grade that you put the effort towards. If you read the chapters, make the outlines, and pay attention to his lectures, you will do just fine.

Attendance and study guides is counted the most in your grade. He give oral quizzes and you wont know what kind of question he will say but the quizzes don't harm the grade as much as not attending the class and doing your study guides. In class he talk, talk, talk, barely give out notes on board, and give his opinions a lot. Overall, easy to pass.

Love this professor he's a great teacher. He doesn't make you learn, he makes you want to learn. There's no mid-term or final in his class, but there's eight quizzes. He gives you more then enough time to study for the quizzes, and they are all passable. If you don't pass this class with a B or higher you have only yourself to blame.

THE worst attitude of any professor I've ever had. The minute the first class started he just started basically insulting the class. He contradicts himself constantly if you listen to him talk. He mostly uses class to shove his opinions down your throat, acting as if they're facts. His arguments are insultingly poorly crafted and full of holes.

He is very old fashioned in the sense that he assigns homework straight from the book and expects his students to be in class every day (DUH). In all honesty, it's a really simple class as long as you show up (45% of grade) and do your study guides and take the quizzes. If you get below an A in the class, blame yourself because he makes it simple.
