Comment:

Probably one of the worst classes I've ever taken due to the fact he mumbled through every lecture. You could really tell he did not want to be there and when you asked questions he would do an amazing job at completely avoiding the question. If you want to get something out of a supply chain class definitely do not take it with him.

I would not recommend taking class with this professor. I don't think he should be teaching at all. He doesn't explain the material at all. He doesn't seems that he knows what he is talking about.

I would not take this with Rob. He is vague and unhelpful. I never want to bash a teacher but I'm not sure how he keeps his job. He seems uninterested, distracted, and is inconsistent with his explanations. We had a case study, large homework, and test. If you have questions ask another professor or upperclassmen in SCM, or switch.

Dropped this class 20 minutes into the first day. Mumbles, kept acting like we should know everything already and just glazed over the material he was already teaching, and just overall seemed thoroughly unhappy to be there.

I dont think this guy is helpful. He is stubborn and lazy. Our hw does not have grade until due date, we do not have any grades for half semester. Many students point out the problem, which he should be consistent with other sections,but he does not care and he is defensive all the time. He seems like not happy with the 8am class department gives.

Fall 2009 is his last semester teaching oscm320 at ISU so get in quick if you have to take it yet. He will never put questions on the tests that weren't discussed in class. At times class can be dull, but he is a good guy! Allowed to dropped lowest test out of 5! Ruben is the man! Give him hard times about the Yankees and he loves it!!

Class is very dull. He has a really monotone voice, and doesn't always explain things clearly. You have to go to class because he has 10-15 in class assignments which you get credit for just for being there. He drops the lowest of five tests. Don't buy the book; I got an A and never looked at a book.

Have to go to class!!! has in class assignments, you get to drop your lowest test. pretty dull, and doesn't always explain things clearly. seems like a real good guy if you go talk to him one on one

This class has to be one of the most boring and useless classes at ISU. Ruben shows no enthusiasm for teaching and doesnt cover the materials that are on the tests he gives. The inclass problems are lightly skimmed by him and not well taught. He may be an okay guy outside of the class room, but not the best educator in it. Textbook costs ~ $180.00

Not a class for the feint of heart. Quite a bit of work compared to some other graduate business courses. Highly technical with a lot of out-of-class work. Students need to spend a lot of time researching the textbook as well as other resources in linear programming, optimization and potentially simulation. Extraordinarily useful topic.

Lectures were awful. You can tell he doesn't really enjoy teaching this class. Class is pretty hard. Pretty laid back professor. Grades are curved, let class out early a few times. Nice guy but doesn't seem to want to teach this class.

Go to class, pay attention, and do the pratice problems he post on web. Exams can be tricky but most were curved nicely and he drops lowest of the 5. Can come off as being dry but also can give some real good laughs at times. If you need help with something ask him and he will try to clarify better.

Class is by far the worst one for me as a business major. Lectures are extremely dry. He has no sense of humor whatsoever and seems as if he doesn't want to be there. If there was anyway possible to take this with another professor i would reccomend it, but there is not. The tests are TOUGH, dont rely on the review slides he goes over

Ugh! This was definitely the worst business class I've taken so far. Extremely boring and it was very difficult as well. He has absolutely no enthusiasm. He highlights review slides that will be helpful for the tests but it seemed like material from the entire set of chapters would be on the exams. Very picky when it comes to grading homework.

Class and homework were hard but he was always in during office hours to help students. He was also clear at explaining the material. Go to class everyday, its boring but it helps in understanding

Not a terribly interesting class, but he is always available to help you if you need it. This class is nt extrememly hard, but going to class can be difficult as the material is very dry. Aside from this Ruben is definately an OK guy.
