Comment:

A great guy, but if your not a math person he's almost too smart. His tests are hard and if you don't understand every aspect of how to solve a problem, including how an equation is derived (unnecessary), then don't expect to succeed on the tests. He's really funny, and very nice, but the grading is extremely picky.

Took one of the most difficult courses at the school (Multivariable calc) and made it so you can understand it. The best thing about him is the fact he never tries to trick you on exams, basically if you try your hardest you should do fine. A god among men compared to other math professors I've had.

He was a pretty easy teacher. His lectures can be boring, and not a lot of material is covered always, but he is a funny guy and is really nice. He's available in his office often for help as well.

An absolutely great professor. He did a great job of letting you know what you needed to know for exams and the homework was alot like exams. Probably the best math professor I have ever had. It's too bad that he decided to retire because he does a great job of teaching.

Prof. Wilson is the best! The history of math is not your average class, but he really makes you think. Leave it up to him to bring up a point to keep you awake at night. Drop by his office hours, too, even if you don't need to -- talking to him is a real treat, and you'll make a great friend. All-around wonderful guy!!!

If you get the chance, take a class with this man! He is an absolutely amazing professor and he tests you on things that he actually taught you, he's not out to trick you like all of the other math profs here. He has a great sense of humor once you pick up on it, and he is definitely one of the best professors I've ever had.

This didn't feel like the hardest class I've taken, but it was the lowest grade I've received. There is a lot of work and the tests are ridiculously difficult. Essentially, you need a ton of "tricks" to solve each problem. Grading was really unclear. Overall, Wilson is a pretty good professor. I feel like I learned a lot, but it didn't show.

Wilson is one math professor who actually knows how to explain things. He made examples that were very clear and you can tell he is extremely well informed. Exams had some tricky questions at times, but overall were similar to homework and practice exams. Would definitely recommend him!

Class attendance isn?t mandatory but he goes through some examples that have been known to pop up on the exams. He?s quite a funny guy who just really loves math. It?s really nice because he has lots of practice tests that you can take. DEFINITELY recommend him!

He was an amazing teacher for calc 1. I recommend him to anyone. i did terrible in calc in high school and taking this class really made me understand it. He lets you use like three pages of notes on every exam and the exams are extremely easy. If you don't get at least a B in this class u messed up.

Wilson is a great calculus lecturer. unfortunately, his classes are only early morning classes so you have to deal with that. Make sure you get a good TA and get ready for some problems on exams that are ridiculously difficult and out of nowhere. Calculus is hard, but you should be able to come out of this class with at least a B

Calc IS HARD -But Wilson is a good prof. Do all the homework EVERY week/day. If you get a bad grade it's your own fault and/or because Calc is hard. _-I got a bad grade, and it IS my fault.-- Wilson=GOOD

He is a very caring person and wants you to do well. Make sure you understand the reasoning behind why you use specific equations and such. Try to get a good TA. Wilson is very clear in lecture and probably the best professor you could get for calculus.
