Comment:
Dr. Russells lectures had way too much information - roughly 60 slides each, and each slide was full. For an intro bio course, there was too much detail and information going into concepts that will be taught in higher courses. Tests are okay - some questions were at the ends of lectures, so study those to ensure a passing grade.

He was a great professor! The main focus on his exams are the practice questions he gave at the end of each lecture! He also brought his dogs to class one day which was great. In addition, he mostly reads from his lecture slides, so it's not necessary to go to every class. He is very passionate about biology which makes learning from him a breeze!

Very funny and entertaining personality. Lectures are extremely boring though. He tries to pack every single detail from a chapter into one lecture, so instead of spending a good amount of time on hard concepts he will try to cover useless info over the hour. His mid term and exam are easy, they are just the questions from the lecture slides.

Overall good professor. He makes the class midterm and final so straightforward that there's no way you can fail. Only if you're not willing to put in the effort or come to class. Must also say that lectures may put you to sleep. Would definitely take another course with him.

Dr. Russell is a great guy but man is he boring. I fought sleep during every single lecture. He knows his stuff but he is not good at getting the information across to the class.

Easy, but don't expect to get a lot out of this class. As an advanced biostatistics course, I was expecting more. Good if you need an easy 4000-level elective and have a basic understanding of stats.

I love Ron. He's a great guy, really easy going and laid back. No need to buy the text book as he takes all info from the book that you will need to know and puts it in his powerpoint lectures.

He has a great personality, easy grader. I does not have deep knowlegde of the course and depends on the book heavily, if you can read you can pass this course. Also he likes to avoid all the embriology stuff

His anatomy class has ALOT of information. It can get confusing and overwhelming. He doesn't play around though, and tells you exactly what you'll need to know, and tells you what to ignore if need be. He's fair.
