Comment:

Make sure you go to the lectures because things she reviews during class may be on the test and she will be giving you all the important info, due dates, etc. Very nice and caring teacher. The homework is contains basically everything you need to know for the tests. Before every lab there will be a short, easy 5 questions quiz

She is an extremely nice professor I enjoyed taking her class. She is fun to talk to & joke around with during lab when there's not a lot to do. If you're someone who tries getting all A's it is very difficult. She does not use canvas, but she will print and show us our grades 3 times during the course.

She made me reconsider my major thats how much I enjoyed biology. Shes super friendly and kind to all her students. I love biology thanks to her. She gives a lot of homework but its easy stuff. I also had so much fun in lab. She does group work in lab which makes it easier and she repeats things so that you can remember. I do recommend her 100%

This professor definitely has changed my perspective on Biology. She has a way with her lectures making them interesting. She loves to show videos to further explain the main ideas that we will be tested on. Everything that you are going to do through out the semester is on her course reserves page. Comment:

Professor Collins made learning biology fun! She explained everything in such a matter that anybody could understand. Her tests however were frustrating because you'd read the question and there could be 2 or 3 possible correct answers. The homework is questions she has prepared, and all labs need to be printed out yourself. Labs were educational.

I enjoyed her lectures and labs! She made lectures interesting and was very helpful during lab. Sometimes during lectures she can go off in short tangents. Make you pay attention during lectures and study the chapter homeworks for the tests. She did give a couple extra credit opportunities.

Overall had a great experience in her class. I took this course while taking 2 other classes and was able to manage it just fine. Key to this class is study the notes from lecture and always go over your labs before the next time you have lab bc you will take a quiz on that lab. Test are tricky but doable. Enjoyed her field trips.

I really enjoyed this class. I think that professor Collins really cares about student success. The class is not easy, but she gives you all the tools to do well in class. Study and you will do well.

Professor stated her exams were based specifically on her lectures, not true. (You must read the book) Her multiple choice exams were tricky. You have options to chose from through A-E. 1, 2, or 3 answers could be correct but you must pick the BEST answer possible. Lab was easy.

Mrs. Collins really does care about your success. She is always there if you have questions and will take time with you to help you understand. This class is work, this subject takes dedication. She is clear on what she expects you to know and has a super helpful study guide prepared on Eres. Highly recommend!

Professor Collins is an amazing professor. I gained a lot of knowledge from her class. She is inspirational and prepares you for what your future classes await got you. She is available when you need help and is a master on the subject. Her exams are fair, study and you will get an A. So far the best class I have taken.

Comment:

Her class notes are incredible. She outlines the entire lecture, notes are totally organized. Super energetic! Whatever she writes down is what you need to memorize, she will not go above that. I wish that she taught at another college, I did receive a C and do need to make this up. The subject is hard itself, not specifically her.

Studying daily is a must. She gives "pop" quizzes but not without notice. Test are tough. Learn the drawings she draws on the board and don't get behind on your lab book and take notes- she lets you use it on the lab exam. She gives outlines, her lectures are crystal clear, and she gives study guides. Great teacher, I wish she taught micro also.

Lectures are easy to follow with her lecture note handouts and she gives you study guides for test which go hand in hand the the notes but that does not mean that they tie with the exams. Tests are extremely hard and tricky because of the multiple choice section wish the exam was as easy to understand like her lectures. be prepared to retake class
