Very sweet and pretty woman. Can be heavily sarcastic at times but don't take it personal. Grading is not terribly picky or tough. Kinda a show up and pass type class. Definitely reccomend Her for any Writing courses.

She's a very animated teacher, the class itself is a breeze, but she misses alot of classes due to her health. She is very forgetful and often times late in grading material and returning it back to you. The paper topics are fairly easy and her grading is extremely easy. Just be more prepared then her, because she'll forget details.

very friendly and sweet. smart. good teacher. not too much work. fun assignments. as long as you work hard then you'll get a good grade. The class came easy to me at first but since I was making A's then she graded me harder. She pushes you to do your best. I liked her a lot. She is very silly. Take her! you wont regret it.

Betsy is such a great professor. You write four or so papers, but not all of them are research papers. She is fun, cares about her students, and offers helpful suggestions for paper improvements. I'm glad I took her English class for the year. You will learn and you will definitely get some laughs. Without a doubt take this class! :)

She is absolutely hilarious. Theres never a dull moment in class because of her randomness. There were four papers and a group project which she helps you so much on. I loved her class and looked forward it most days. Take her, you won't regret it.

Other than being on the border of insanity Betsy Newman (she hates being called Mrs. Newman) is a great instructor and makes argumentation easy and fun. Once she finds her choo-choo she is very productive and enthusiastic.

I loved this teacher! She is probably my favorite in the 2 years I have been in school here. Take her class, you wont be sorry. I had a final average of 97. Work hard and you will do well.
