Dr. Hyun is a very smart professor, but he's too smart. He is so smart that he has a hard time explaining the course content, and gets frustrated when the class doesn't understand the content. He also has the most mood swings of any professor I've ever had, don't make him mad. He also doesn't announce tests until the week before.

Dr. Hyun is nice a guy, he might not like you but he will still respect you if you deserve it. Just do everything he told you to do in class and you will pass. He will give you extra times to work on exams, if you didn't finish. In my case, the whole class took the 1st exam for almost three hours and it is a 90 min exam.

don't piss this guy off, get on his good side, do what he tells you to do and work hard and you'll be fine. for transport phenomena buy the recommended heat transfer text book by dewitt, incropera as exam problems will come from that book. fluids was a lot better than transport!!

He's nice, just don't have a class clown in your class named Kyle and things will go pretty smooth. He kinda does the work for you, gives you notes, his first test was totally NOT like the practice test. After that they were similar. He doesn't give a lot of homework. He's pretty ok.

Do not be lazy or make Dr. Hyun angry. He is a little difficult to understand, but if you show him that you really are trying to learn the material, he WILL help you. Coming to his office hours helps also, but DON'T come empty handed. You have to be willing to help yourself before he will help you. Be a good student and he'll be a good teacher.

C++ was alright. if you can interpret broken english with a korean accent and follow the misleading lectures, you will do fine. just study and practice it as if it were your second language. oh yeah, dont make this guy mad. if you want to be on his good side, show him that you know the materials.

Think he's from Tai-Wan, not easy to understand. He grades legitimately, not too easy but not too hard. I'd say he's one of the easier design teachers out there.
