Took him over the winter. Study guides and readings are long but worthwhile since it is most of the exam. 3 exams (2-part final) and 2 discussion forums with an essay and responses each time. Essay's are not easy A's but it shouldn't be difficult to get at least a B in the class with minimal effort. Don't skip any days though.

Dracula Fact/Fiction was a good class to take over winter. Two exams plus 5 discussion boards. Exams require a bit of studying but the Prof gives outlines before the exams that prove beneficial. Overall it was a good experience and I would take another class with Professor Reinert again.

Took Dracula 510:255 online for a GPA booster, and it was amazing. 3 exams (2 tries each) and 5 discussion throughout the whole semester. Discussions are unlike other classes, full/proper essay required for good score. So much reading! Expect 8hrs/week. Easy class, professor wants everyone to get an A, just do the work. Also, it is interesting.

The quizzes almost every week weren't too hard but the midterm & final were. Expect to read A LOT which is very overwhelming if you're full-time. You're allowed 1 extra credit paper which is even harder! He may give a curve if the whole class is failing.

Reinert is a very kind & passionate Prof. His class was very informative. However do not let his kind and helpful ways cloud your judgement. His class is NO WALK IN THE PARK! I took his online Dracula course and I found myself watching three lectures a week averaging about 45 minutes per lecture and reading at least 6 articles along with them.

Such a great class. Prof. Reinert is like your stereotypical historian, which is also great. Anyways, the exams are fairly challenging and there's also a 10-12 page paper requiring extensive use of primary sources.

European history class was packed full of details and seemed to over my head at the time.Wish that I had been in his class as a more mature student. He was one of my academic advisors and I remember that he gave great advice about trying to finish my education.Explained how important it was to go on to a Masters. Which I did some years later.Thanks.

Dracula Seminar! It's a requirment of my major to take history seminar so I took one on Dracula, figuring I'd be able to muddle through. Professor Reinert is awesome! He's very knowledgable, helpful, and flexible. He gave several extensions and options for people not finished with their papers yet. I suggest him for any class he's teaching!!

best history teacher at rutgers. you will learn so much about byzantine history. the exams aren't difficult, you just really need to know your information. just make sure you go over everything before the exams...and i mean everything. but you don't have to worry, the material is so interesting you won't feel like it's work.

he is very intelligent. his class is extremely interesting. his voice may be a bit monotonous, but he provides narratives online which are very informative and easy to read. his exams have a lot of information on them, so just know your stuff. read all the narratives, mostly. final group project was simple and fun. great guy, wish he taught more!

Whoever says they learn nothing from Reinert's classes must just be idiots. The classes, while dry at times, are supplemented with his online lecture summaries, which are very well written and read like a novel. Oh, and people that say he hates catholics, he IS catholic. Only annoying thiong about his classes are the know-it-all history min there.

While not a bad person, Professor Reinart dampened my interest in the Crusades. His lectures were extremely slow moving and dry, and the tests weren't all that easy, although he made up for it with a generous curve. Too much of the class was focused on Films that were useless, and not enough time was spent on the actual Crusades.

Attendence isn't mandetory. He is brilliant & level of knowledge is remarkable. His lectures are thorough with dry humor. Tests are a reflection of his wit & knowledge;testing student's understanding of topic. Always willing to help his students, he IS fair. The group project was NEW & some students were lazy! So, why argue with lazy students?

Although classes were unorganized and we had to participate in group projects, Dr. Reinert is awesome.Get to know him on a personal level and you will get an A.Go to his office hours and he is very helpful.Exams are confusing but getting to know Reinert is the key, he is highly intelligent and really wants students to get good grades.

I found Reinert to be condescending and out of touch. His tedious exams (attempts at humor?) prove this. So does the fact that he made us do extensive group work, an insult to anyone interested in learning. He then added insult to injury with a post-semester email that attempted to justify it as some sort of "experiment." Lazy.

very nice man. disliked the class greatly. he was very funny and passionate about what he was teaching, but the class itself was incredibly boring and pretty difficult. thought it would be a GPA booster. nope. exams very detailed. i know no more about the Crusades now than i did when i walked in the first day. i wish he taught a different subject

Reinert is an interesting and well-educated man, I like him a lot! However, I would not recommend this class. The group presentations were boring and tedious, and the multiple choice exams were confusing and vague. I left knowing very little about the Crusades.

Professor Reinert is a fun and lively teacher who is really a credit to Rutgers. While a group project in a class can seem slightly childish and tedious, the fact that this class isn't a "must-attend" and the reading is so interesting balances that out. If you want a good, easier, class, go for this.

I have a feeling that this man's life is like an episode of Frasier. I liked his class a lot, he seems like a really nice guy, and he doesn't hate Catholics. I'm Catholic and he was nice to me! Im not really, but he couldn't have known that. He seems kind of snobby, but he's really not just smart and funny.
