Comment:
Does not teach in class just mumbles to the screen. Does not speak clearly nor explains any of his slides which have no title or any sort of words. Rambles on and on to things that dont make any sense. Extremely rude when you contact him with email. Replies by saying "How would I know? How am I suppose to know?" Umm your the teacher man ! Come on !

Comment:
By far the worse professor at UMD. Out of 100 ppl in class only 10 show up since he is unable to communicate any information to his students. Slides are disorganzied and are a bunch of random diagrams which make no sense and are not explained by the teacher either. The only way to study is the textbook. Curve is good: Test avgs are 50% which is a B

Comment:
His explanations are not very clear. He tends to start explaining in the middle, go to the end, and never introduce the topic. If you are good at genetics or read the book it'll help. He really cares about students. He will try to answer any question, and will stay up late (1am-ish) the night before the exam answering questions on google docs.

Lectures are hard to follow, he doesn't speak clearly or explain concepts thorougly, exams aren't too bad but mostly you have to teach the material to yourself

Worst prof I ever had. Never speaks clearly, notes are horrible, and refuses to make himself available for help. Writes nasty emails if you ask him a question. Just understand his slides and TRY to write down everything he says, because that is what he tests on.

Very long, fast-paced lectures - almost impossible to take notes. All powerpoint lectures were posted online prior to class which helped. Difficult homework assignments but exams were straightforward - always offered study guides and several practice exams were available. Not very accessible but has obvious expertise in the subject.
