He is passionate and lively everyday. Remarkable. He requires one to listen carefully and read carefully. He will make one realize the texts of great minds require vast patience. If taken seriously, it shall be a challenge. A challenge worthwhile. Once rewarded for persistence, you will realize wisdom doesnt just grow in gray hair. I dare u 2 try!

He seems to be sort of a polarizing professor. I personally adore him. He is funny, honest, and very smart. If you listen, his lectures are engaging and he will articulate exactly what he wants you to take away from the lecture. He might call on you randomly in class, so best to be prepared.

I really couldn't understand most of the things he said and he would go on meaningless rants every class. Probably the most boring class I have taken in college. Was a pain to make it through each day...

This guy made entrance into college fun. His self-deprecating humor is great, but some people didn't get it. He is personable with students, nibbles on every bit of information, but if you are not thinking the same way as he, you will feel it in his reaction to your answer. Speaks slowly & clearly. Liked his class, would take it again.

Professor Warner is one of the most brilliant men I have ever crossed paths with. Anyone who says he plays "favoritism" is simply mad because of his or her B. His classes are difficult, and when writing papers one must take good notes and pay attention to all of the details. Work hard and enter into engaging conversation and you should be fine.

Comment:
The literature is covered VERY exhaustively, but he will bring a lot of concepts to light that you may have never considered upon first reading. Professor Warner is an intense individual with a good sense of humor and demonstrates a genuine investment in the success of his students. Consider the syllabus a VERY loose guideline, he will adapt it.

Comment:
Easily the most enjoyable class of the semester. Unfortunately, I racked up a lot of absences, but it was no reflection on Professor Warner, who was exceptionally witty and perceptive when it came to the course material. I did not give him a perfect score on helpfulness only because I suspect some students didn't get some of his humor. Their loss.

An excellent teacher. You will learn a very lot in this class. However, DO NOT EXPECT AN 'A' unless you become close friends with him. He plays favorites worst than any other professor that I have ever had or hear of. If you take his class, don't strain for the 'A'. Just do minimal work and you are guaranteed a 'B'. For your mental health.

I had very little interest in the philisophical nature of the class but I am pleased with the end result. While Warner can be difficult to follow at times, and the instruction can get boring he is very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help students who are struggling in the class (as long as you approach him).

Professor Warner's grasp of the subtleties of Plato is remarkable. His meticulous attention to detail is even more amazing, given the time constraints. Overall, Professor Warner is one of the best teachers I've ever encountered.

Professor Warner is one of the only intelligent professor at Roosevelt University. Now this is what a college professor should be. If students don't like him it's because of the luke warm instruction they're used to getting from all of there other professors. Warner won't let you get by with the half-hearted crap other professors do.

If you make the mistake of taking Warner̢۪s class you quickly learn that he has two tiers of students: those he likes and those who he does not. Whether he likes you is dependent upon whether you suck up to him. He grades based on that alone. He is up there for his own ego and does give a rip whether you are getting anything out of the class. Do NOT

A HORRIBLE teacher. Condescending, arrogant, very unhelpful. Just wants to hear himself talk and HATES it if anyone asks questions unless they lick his boots doing it. Do NOT take a class from him!

Prof. Warner is great. He literally lives in a library and has probably read most every book on anything related to what he teaches. One of the most knowledgeable people I know- great memory too. Challenging, but definitely worth it.
