susan was awesome! she was very scattered, yes, asked questions, had conversations with her, expressed a desire to learn, etc, her classes were easily aceable. i had her for sn 102, sn315, por110, por 210... i know there were more, but it's been years. anyhow, she was great and i learned more from her and amy than any others in my time at NMU.

Comment:

Susan arranged for a group of NMU students to study in Granada, Spain, a couple summers ago. If I hadn't paid a substantial nonrefundable deposit, I would've cancelled after seeing her in action at an "organizational" meeting. She's about as disorganized and unprofessional as you can get. Was worthless as a su****ising instructor on the trip.

She is terrible. She had the assignments due before you learned the material. She doesn't teach. It is impossible to know what your grade is. When I asked her she said to estimate from my test grades. The only thing interesting about the class was her style, which I have to say is quite entertaining.

She's terrible. She speaks spanish but she uses words so out of our grasp that she just confuses us over and over again. I went to her for help and all she said was "see a tutor." she won't help you and she'll make you want to switch your major. If you're majoring in spanish, I'd recommend the course, STAY AWAY FROM SUSAN. GO SEE AMY ORF

I had Susan for numerous classes she can be tiresome because she is a bit all over. Susan however is very vivacious and passionate. I recomend her as a professor and as someone to go to if you need any networking help within the university. I must really stress that if you have quesions, comments,orconcerns go to her or you won't survive her class

SN 314 as a web course is the worst class I have ever been in my LIFE! She sent 45 e-mails in one week, her schedule changes every day, and considering this is a summer web course she treats it as in classroom. AND! when you e-mail her when you are confused about something she recommends that you drop the class in the first paragraph of the e-mail

The class subject was awsome, but oh my gosh, she was so loopy! If she teaches Honors again, I'd say take it, but be warned: she doesn't make it fun; looking at all the pretty pictures does. She's incredibly enthusiastic, but can't quite make it clear what she wants.

She is such a horrible professor. Avoid her like an std! She sucks all the way around. Scatter brained woiuld be putting it nicly. She is the worst. I almost want to change my major because of her. PLEASE DON'T take her classes. She teaches a film class too AVOID IT! Its horrible. We should all boycott her!!!!!!!!!!!!

she's a very smart woman, she knows the information and will explain it multiple times. the problem is, she's kind of scatterbrained and therefore it's difficult to decifer what she actually wants. the exams can be confusing, but if you put in the work you'll do okay.

What an aweful example of a professor if thats what she wants to call herself. Dont make nay errors on siting your work or she runs to the deans offfice and accuses you of plagerism. Way too much expected for a web course. My opion they should fire the unorganized witch. I wouldnt take any thing she offers. GO teach in Cuba or another country!!

Very disorganized. We were unsure what she was lecturing on half of the time. The subject matter was brilliant, but I don't think she went over it. She never gives any work back, and she never got back to me when I asked her what my grade was, so I assumed I was failing (since the tests are graded on her opinions), so I withdrew.

I had this class on the web during the summer and I really liked it. Dr. Martin was really nice and she really knows her stuff! The cooking assignments were fun and she was really willing to work around everyones schedule.

Horrible. She is unorganized and very unclear about what she wants. She always handed out papers and didn't tell us what it was for. Her questions on her tests were really confusing and supposed to be opinion based. However, somehow a lot of people ended up with the wrong opinion. Do not take!
