This class is tough and she is tough. I came to learn that if you ask for help, she will give you help. Sometimes it feels like she is talking down to you, but turns out she isn't. She gives you the feedback you need to get better. She sees potential in people and is tough to get your fullest potential. Give her your best, she will give you hers.

Yes, she is "tough" in that she sets high expectations for her students in order to make them better teachers. She is very passionate about what she does and is always willing to meet with help students who are having a difficult time. In addition, she is personable and cares about her students when they are sick, having a bad day, etc.

Dr. Sychterz was not bad at all! She has high expectations and can seem scary but she just wants what's best for you and to see growth in you as a teacher. Her feedback on observations was helpful and pushed me to do better. Be nice and she will be nice I promise :)

She is fair and professional when it comes to observing you and filling out the evaluation. But when it comes 2 the unit & the 430, something she has more control over, she's completely biased. Don't expect a 12 on ur 430 because in her mind, nobody's perfect. She's got ur grade decided even before she observes you.

She constantly wants her ego boosted (refering to herself in third person is only one vivid example.) If you can give her the attention she wants, you will become one of her favorites. Her expectations are unclear but again this is because it forces you to go ask her questions and make her feel important.

dr. sychterz is a very intelligent woman, and she likes to make that very clear. i agree that she's very unclear about her expectations, and if you ask her for clarification, she may get mad. she does make you see things from a different perspective though.
