Grade consists of 3 tests and a paper. Tests are 1/3 lecture and 1/3 for both books assigned per test. Lecture questions are over small details that if you don't pick up on you will get wrong. All of this to be said, he is funny and does his best to make his lectures interesting (and they are). Not a bad choice but I would choose others over him.

Although I didn't do all that well in his class, this was one of my favorite classes I've ever taken! He made lectures so interesting and he has a great sense of humor as well. I learned so much from this class and would recommend it to anyone and everyone! He grades really tough but what you get out of the class makes it worth it!

Anderson is one of my favorite professor at TAMU but to get an A you have to do the study guides and put effort into studying. 3 tests and one paper at the end of the semester.

This might not be the class youd take for the easiest A, but I have never in my life enjoyed a history class until I started taking his. Attendance is mandatory but its foe extra credit points which is nice. And honestly hes such a good teacher that the times goes by too fast. 20/10 recommend

Professor Anderson starts off each class with a joke, but thats where the fun stops. He lectures the whole class and doesn't answer questions or give you time to process what you're learning. The tests started easy, but by the final the test was filled with material I had never seen or heard before

He's a great lecturer. You do have to read 5 books though, most of them written by himself.

Dr. Anderson is very smart and loves what he teaches. He is very biased (and is allowed to be so) and may deter some students who differ from his opinions. He's pretty funny, you need to attend class every day and take very good notes. The tests are pretty hard, if you miss just five minutes of a lecture you could lose a letter grade on a test.

Anderson's lectures are jam-packed with content, but he describes everything that you need to know for the test with great detail. He starts class with a joke and then jumps into 75 minutes of lecture. There's only 3 tests and a small paper, so study your notes and use the study guides for the books and you'll get an A.

Professor Anderson was an amazing prof. I really enjoyed his class. He lectures from his notes, so dont skip class! You have to read about 5 books (200 pgs each). I would 100% recommend him

He opens class with a joke then lectures for the rest of the time. If politics bother you, there will be a few times where he stops to be political, however it didn't greatly effect the majority of the course. Grades for fall of '17 come from 3 exams, a final, and one paper. Half of his tests are answering questions from the books he has you read.

Professor Anderson is very knowledgable, maybe even too much for his own good. His class is based on 10 quizzes (one a week) with a lot of reading (from books that he wrote) and 2 test. Both the midterm and the final are 15 MC questions, and an essay that could be about any topic he has talked about the entire semester.

He's an amazing professor! If you put forth the effort and speak to him in his office hours, he is more than willing to help you with material. The books are super interesting that he assigns which make reading them really easy!

He knows his stuff about history, and expects you to as well. We read 4 books this semester. The is only a midterm and a final both of which are in class blue book essays about one of the many things you learned about so you have to be prepared to right about everything. Try to get another professor.

His lectures are great because he makes many funny comments and goes in depth. He does not offer the powerpoint online so go to class! His test are usually 15 multiple choice and essay. The essay is worth 60 percent of the exam grade. Only books we used were for the recitation were there was weekly quizzes for, but the TA does a summary before.

This is by far the worst course I have taken at A&M. He does not answer any of your questions,he will send you to the Discussion Leaders, they are the ones that grade your tests which by the way are 15 multiple choice and essay part which is 70% of the grade. you attend lecture and also discussion where you have weekly quizzes. DONT TAKE HIM!

In my time in University I've taken my fair share of bad and good professors, and very rarely outstanding professors. Professor Anderson falls into the last category with aplomb, presenting lectures that cover the facts in an engaging way. Anderson makes no secret of also offering his opinion during, although in an attempt to make the student think

You read 5 books 4 of which he wrote so his lecture is very repetitive of what you read. He tries to make jokes but it's awkward. There's a quiz over the readings each week in discussion so attendance is mandatory. you take 11 quizzes and your worst one Is dropped. TA discussion leaders can give up to 10 bonus points and I got 10 but still made a B

One of my least favorite professors. If you try to ask a question he won't answer you. He was not helpful and did not seem to care about his students. On tests, he asks very specific questions he mentioned once in class. He makes you read the books that he wrote, and he will randomly brag about how he gets to go on awesome vacations during lecture.

Terry Anderson is a very charismatic person, and the lectures can be interesting. However, he adds a lot of his own liberal bias into the class. Be prepared for lectures on the great accomplishments of socialism, multiculturalism, women's and minority rights, and all the other run-of-the-mill SJW talking points. His TAs grade hard. You must show up
