M. Donahue wants you to learn french. He only talks in french, but if you go to his office hours he will gladly speak in english if you don't understand. I was put into a less advanced class than i should have been, so it was fairly easy for me but most of the class had a hard time. You will learn a lot of french though.

Going into his class is intimidating.He only speaks French in class. BUT it IS a conversation class & we're SUPPOSED to talk in the language. I've had 2 semesters with him & I absolutely love him. I am much more fluent in the language than I ever thought I would be. He really wants you to excell...not simply get a good grade.

Ok, everyone this is college. An A is not going to be handed to you. Sure, he makes you work for the grade, but this is my third semester with him, and I can't see myself changing teachers. He cares alot about pronounciation and it helped so much. Very detail-oriented, and helped get through hard material with humor. Not as bad as people seem, but will make you earn your grade. very fair, accomendating if you have a problem. The music every morning helped. Project was so hard but helped us to understand French. just do the work.

Gotta do this guy some justice. Sure he's a tough teacher, but he wants to teach you French! always do the homework and participate in class. His tests are difficult, but the participation will really help your grade. I voluntarily took him again, so he can't be that bad.

Definitely has favorites. You do learn a lot. Showing up for class always always helps as well as attempting the homework and handing it in. Takes off for everything on tests and quizzes. Participation puts him in a good mood. So do fridays.
