I had Tran for college algebra last spring and loved him instantly. He made me passionate about math. He's challenging but he truly cares about your motivation and success. Tests are easy and he's a lenient grader. Will take him for further math classes. Awesome dude.

Comment:

At first I did not understand the content but he saw that I was trying and helped me a lot to understand. Once I understood I did very well in the class! His online class is basically on the Mathlab and there are assignments to do to learn the material with videos and quizzes at the end. Then there were tests at Sinclair. I recommend him for math

Provides little feedback on graded assignments and doesnt give any clear direction on when assignments will be posted or due. Doesnt return assignments until weeks after. Would not recommend.

I have struggled with Algebra throughout college. Had to take DEV a few times to get it right. I dreaded taking College Algebra. Once you get past his accent, which can be hard to understand, he is an amazing instructor. He explained it in ways no one else ever had. Expect to do your homework, participate and ask questions. Will take for Calc.

Comment:

Linear algebra, twice a week, night class. With the time and he didn't know how to release the online homeworks and release dates & due dates were random, I'd forget the material by the time I saw the homework. Lectures seem semi-disorganized. His accent didn't help. Slow to understand the students sometimes. Tests graded on process used,10-14Q's.

He' difficult to understand, not only with his accent, but with his mathematical vocabulary. He has a hard time trying to understand why a student might not understand material, because math comes easy to him. He continually claims he is teaching stuff we should already know. He rarely explains how he got his answers, and doesn't answer questions.

I had him for linear algebra and he skipped almost half the book due to his scrambled teaching methods. Impossible to follow in lectures. spends extra time on trivial points. fails to deliver homework assignments online in a reasonable amount of time. Overall made the class harder than if I would have taught myself.

He is super genius and is difficult to understand because he instructs math his own way and tries to teach short cuts, but fails to teach them clearly. Also, MML teaches a very different method from his. Before asking questions make sure you use exact terminology else he will not answer your questions.

He's the best if you understand math, which I do. I loved him, he's hilarious and is very straightforward. I skipped probably more than half of the classes (7:15-9:30pm, who wouldn't?) and still passed. A lot of MyMathLab homework though, so be willing to do the work. Highly recommend for someone who gets math and just needs help staying on track.

He is very hard to understand! Should NOT be teaching developmental math. Goes WAY too fast and offers no explanations, just shows examples and assumes you should know what he is doing and how to do it. Had an extremely hard time keeping up and I was a 4.0 student prior to his class.

This course is extremely difficult online. If you struggle in Math at all I recommend a Tutor; however, this professor even called me at one point to help me with this online course. He is a good professor but Math should be face to face.

This Professor gives up on the students for online courses to quickly. He didn't really have much to say except that I needed to take this on campus which isn't an option for me. I have a 72.9% currently and I pray that I can pass the final. When I pass I will be totally proud because I know it wasn't because the professor but my hard work.

This teacher is okay. He sent out a few emails throughout the class. you do have to turn in a written work packet at some point and he "wasn't satisfied" with one of my modules and asked me to redo the entire module 2 days before the midterm was due. it was inconvenient.

I am horrible at math, but surprising his class was very easy. Text book explained everything well, as well as instructor. I didnâ??t associate with him that much considering I was online. But overall easy teacher I did not have any technical problems. And I even passed the class with a B

So what if he has an accent? It's not THAT bad. He makes Algebra VERY easy to understand! He is extremely helpful and will go out of his way to make sure you understand how to do the work. I wish he taught higher math classes necause I would not hesitate to sign up for his class.

I HATE math!! lol... Mr. Tran i loved!! he was very clear and always wants the students to understand and do well on tests. he goes over the material again and again to ensure you know your stuff.. would def reccomend
