A lot of assignments for this class but they were all pretty straightforward. Gives detailed rubrics and everything is open from the beginning of the semester so you can work ahead. Gives good feedback and most quizzes allow 2 attempts. Textbook is used for some of the assignments but I found an older version online for free that worked just fine.

I don't even want to teach English as a foreign language after this class. I've never had so much busywork in my entire UCF education. About 9 assignments due each week. Has her TA's grade but they're the worst and give no reason as to why you got the grade you did.

The problem with that I have with this class is that as an online class the homework requires a deeper understanding of the concepts that what is provided in the textbook. The homework is intensive and difficult. If you don't easily grasp the concept, good luck. She has certainly made certain that I have zero interest in teaching ELLs.

With the definition of busywork, Professor Ludwig is used as an example underneath. About 8-10 assignments due each week, each assignment takes about 20-45 minutes of your time. She really takes the excitement out of learning to teach English as a second language. Takes forever to get a reply and was an annoying class to take.

I really had no issues with this professor. She does give multiple assignment at one time but they are super simple. If you have any questions, she typically replies back soon after. If you do the work, you'll get an A.

Online class. She assigned a lot of homework. Assignments were due on random dates, unlike the usual Sunday midnight due date. It was difficult to keep up with what assignments were due. Easy class once you got the hang of the weird schedule.

Assignments are easy but there a lot. She has 3 assignments due on the same day at times. Although they are not too difficult, it can very tedious. Overall, good prof, would take class again.

She gives SO much homework and you have to scroll for a full minute just to reach the end of her instructions. She gives about 6-8 assignments A WEEK. Her instructions and assignments are way too confusing. Do not take her.

This teacher is good except for the fact that things are due at 4 am. This is great if you work long nights but the first week I messed up with the time and she did not let me turn it in and said I would still be able to receive and A in the class without the assignments. I did not end up receiving an A and she did not let me make anything up.

Terrible. Less than 2 weeks and I have already had 10 assignments due online. 10? Some classes don't have that many in the whole semester. I would not complain if it was material pertinent to the text, but many of the assignments seem to be discussions and reflections on random videos or articles. Don't take unless you have PLENTY of spare time.

Taking this class with this professor is the WORST thing I've ever done. Professor Ludwig is so disorganized, so rude, and so inconsiderate. There is so much busy work that it is nearly impossible to keep up with. And then she takes tons of points off for minimal things when most of the time her own writings have errors. Just TERRIBLE.

Worst professor there is. I wouldn't recommend this class to my worst enemy. I'm pretty sure she wrote all these positive comments cause there is no way anyone liked her rudeness, zero organization, a million assignments with no rubrics or her inconsistancy. SHE'S HORRIBLE. When you email her, she either doesn't respond or its a nasty response.

She is a great, organized online teacher! Her assignments were very clear and easy to follow. If you don't understand something she is more than willing to have a phone convo with you. You'll need the book for chapter quizzes (which are very easy straight from the book). It might seem like a lot of assignments at first, but they are mostly easy.

This teacher is awesome! She responds within hours of emailing, takes time to correct assignments, offers 'phone' meetings if students have questions and has a great sense of humor! If your worried about taking this class email to see the syllabus & assignment schedule. Of course it's a lot of work, you are learning how to teach ELL students! Duh!

You may not like her and you may hate the class and think she doesn't care. But you will realize how much effort she puts through making each lesson. She provides a lot of useful information and she always keeps her students updated. There's A LOT of time consuming work! Expectations are clear so you know what you have to do in order to succeed.

Horrible professor! Ludwig's online class is extremely disorganized just like she is. You have a large work load each week and she creates new assignments whenever she feels like it. I have reached out to her for help and she responds but clearly does not care. She is not there to help you succeed. DO NOT TAKE HER! Worst professor at UCF!

Her assignment load is terrible if you don't check all the time you will miss something. She doesn't accept late work for any credit nor does she care. She misspells things in assignments and what not, but take off if you make a minor mistake. Worst online class ever.

HORRIBLE online. Disorganized, her work load is so high she has an assistant grade assignments for her. Got an awful grade and I'm an A student. Service learning was a so unclear and deducted points if not done exactly. AWFUL

She will help if you ask, but she doesn't clearly help if you know what I mean. If you send her emails must be in proper grammar she will deduct points off assignment for misspelled words from your email.
