She goes fast it's up to you to keep up. The fact is there is ALOT to cover in 96 She does the best she can with the time she has. Believe me you won't be dismissed early. She covers everythhing, take good notes, pay attention, DON'T MISS CLASS. Begining of class she goes over homework. She is a teacher of quality for a hard subject.

Do not take this teacher for Math96, she is unclear and rushes through the material. I have a hard time with Math already and I'm barely hanging in there. You have to teach yourself the material which makes it 2x hard.

Great teacher! Take her and you'll definitely learn. She's very understanding and clarifies anything that might be troubling you, just ask. She even wrote a book on precalculus, this teacher is very knowledgeable and can really relate to her students. Just complete all the homework and study for the tests and you'll earn what you deserve.

the way she does the problems on the board is very repetitive, but it also engrains it in your head. She explains things very well and wants to make math easy and fun for us. The way she speaks is very precise and mechanical.

Virginia is a very good professor! She will rush thru the review part of the class but from there on she slows down and teaches math as it was a piece of cake! She is funny and will do anything to make sure you know the material and you pass the class.

She is a good instructor, very in tune with her studentrs and doesn't make you feel like just another student-she makes an effort to learn you name-homework everyday, test at the end of each chapter-she goes over homework and has a fair grading system!!!

Awesome instructor. This is how math should be taught! HW is assigned everyday but is easy. Tests mirror pratice tests at the end of every chapter. Gives alot of pointers and shortcuts to formulas and equations. She is extremely patient and attentive to her students math anxieties.

I really enjoyed her class. She doesn't move on until everyone has a basic understanding of the section. Tests are multiple choice and HW isn't a burden. Once she goes over the nights section class is essentially over but she'll stay to tutor anyone needing more assistance.

Professor Starkenburg teaches her subject in an easily understood matter with the math-anxious student in mind. I cannot speak for her other math classes but if you need to start off with basic math fundamentals, I recommend her class. She'll work with you and help you through, step by step.

I don't know why she bother to come into class if she was going to just flip through the pages on the book for 2 hours. Didnt have a clear explanation for my question, her answer was "I'll get back to you on that"... Well, I'm still waiting!

Poorly prepared. Would simply try to solve problems on the board, instead of helping students understand concepts and mistakes. She is a math regurgitator, not much of a teacher. Could not help with calculators, which are required for class.
