Wade is amazing. He lectures every day and clearly knows what he's talking about. He keeps things interesting and entertaining and as long as you take good notes and pay attention in class, you don't need to read the textbook. Before every exam, he does a review in which he goes over the entire exam which is awesome. He's just a really nice guy.

Wade is a whacky dude. If you don't show up to lectures, you won't get the info. Don't buy the textbook, never used it. Class is 90% tests so don't take this if you suck at tests. He gives great sample exams & spends the class before tests reviewing. He gets pretty repetitive in lectures so learn to pick out the useful info.

You could skip buying the expensive textbook and still get an A. He writes his test 100% based on his lectures so if you show up to class and pay attention it is all spelled out for you. I quit reading the book halfway through and got an A. Great lectures, simple grading structure, exam heavy but no tricks. He is fair.

He genuinely loves economics, and teaches his class with a lot of energy. He gives good examples and is pretty funny. He is always willing to help, whether it is after class or in office hours. He is pretty understanding of students lives outside of class as well and is willing to work with you. He also posts all lecture power points online.

Don't buy the textbook, it isn't worth it. Also be prepared for fast lectures on complicated topics and lots of gesticulation. Overall though, he's a really nice guy, and not a super hard grader who is really really really passionate about what he is talking about. He also definitely has a sense of humor

One of my favorite classes. You might have a hard time if you're not a good test-taker. His lectures were engaging and clear, and the homework (there wasn't much) was always worthwhile and helpful.

Good teacher. Attend class and you will know everything you need to know. Also, he is very helpful in office hours. Textbook reading is not necessary, he skips a lot in the book and just teaches what he thinks is important.

Really easy class, he explains concepts well, so you don't need the book at all. The exams are pretty much only what he lectures on, which was good.

His explanations are always super clear. And he's brilliant. He takes a really fresh approach to the subject. His tests are fairly straightforward, though he doesn't use the text much for Econ 170.
