Dr. Richardson is a patient, kind person. He's a gifted lecturer, and his exams are neither too easy nor impossible (or they are hard with generous curves). I've taken many math courses at UTSA, and he's become one of my favorites. Don't take him if you need a highly structured course, a textbook, or prompt assignment grading.

Amazing professor!!! Great teaching style, makes sure he does everything he can during his lectures to help you learn. Sad I was unable to be a student in one of his math classes, but math foundations was good, for now. Got a low grade because I missed a homework assignment (personal reasons) and a quiz.

He's a good lecturer, although he tends to go off on tangents without finishing example problems. Hard exams, but generous curves. This summer course felt pretty haphazard. The pacing was way off; he spent way too much time on certain subjects, leaving others neglected. YMMV in summer/fall. He's fine if you're a hard worker.

He is a good teacher but his level of teaching is according to Engineering major. He needs to know that everyone in the class is not an engineer some don't have a strong math background. He must think about such kind of students. Prepare his notes and lectures for Exams. Give hard exams.

Horrible teacher, but gives loads of extra credit. I mainly had to teach everything to myself because he would dance around the subject all class. When he does do example problems, which only happens like once a blue moon, he never finishes them. If you are going to do computer science he WILL pick you in class because he loves computers.

He makes the material interesting & engaging but it is confusing at times. Attendance mandatory to keep up. Unfortunately he grades a lot on class participation, which means the ppl that ask stupid questions will get full credit, even if you're paying full attention & understand. So dumb. Study even the smallest things he goes over.

I took notes and asked a ton of questions. I learned more Linear Algebra with him than anyone else. With that being said, there was no book. I felt I could have done better coming to class knowing what was coming next. Also, 3 assignments, so make 1 mistake and your grade is done. I would take him if I felt confy with the subject already.

Go to class, read your notes, do the homework and the end of chapter exercises, and ask questions if you need to. He is very funny, incredibly friendly, and is always willing to help you!! BUT YOU NEED TO DO YOUR PART.

Take him if you are a grad student. He treats undergrads not as good. Doesn't really take the time to help you guys as he does for the grad students. I've seen him talk to undergrads and if I was his undergrad I'd of dropped his class, he's rude.

Dr. Richardson is one of the best Professors I have ever had. He is very intelligent you could learn more than what you expected to learn from him. Since he is extra good, you would like to take more classes with him and he really opens your mind for higher education. Because of that now I am able to help any students needing help in math.

You must be an expert in previous math subjects. Don't take this class unless you have taken physics, are a physics major, or engineer major. Maybe he was a great professor once but something must have happened and he doesn't not live up to the comments left by others.

Dr. Richardson is awesome. The idiot that is posting the comments about his "hard" Pre-Cal class has no idea what a Mathematics course is! Math is something you have to take initiative in to learn, not be spoon fed and expect to learn it with a half-a** approach! Try studying!

I have been to UT AUSTIN, and it is very easy school. I have had class in Moorse Building. The Math Department really sucks at UT Austin, I am speaking from experience. Most of the instructors are TA instructors. UTSA math is very good, because of UTSA I am now attending Cornell. GO UTSA!!!!!!!! and DR. RICHARDSON IS AWESOME, UTSA IS THE BEST!

UT-Austin classes are really easy, and after coming to UTSA I find that Dr. Richardson is challenging and I learned a lot. UTSA math ROCKS. At UT-Austin life sucks.

He is a good instructor. You are not going to find this type of professor at UT-Austin. You will be lucky to have an instructor at UT-Austin, prob end up with a TA. UTSA is lucky to have this instructor.
