Anatomy is a complex topic. Like learning a new language, you have to commit to succeed. I took McJilton's anatomy class a few years back, and now that I'm in nursing school, I frequently encounter concepts that I had learned in his class, and I think wow, we need more professors like that, where the content you learn actually sticks!

Anatomy is a class of memorization and orientation, so yes you teach yourself quite a lot of that. BUT he will 100% show you were everything is when ever you want to go over it. Only criticism- practicals are mini exams, you need to attend and pay attention to lectures IT WILL SHOW UP. TIP-ask ?s during practical he clarifies what he wants.

Professor Mcjilton was a very nice and funny professor but I would not suggest this class for pre nursing majors. I found it difficult to learn in this class due to him not explaining materials well enough. Tests were basically your grade. Did not learn as much as I wanted to due to lack of information given by professor.

He's a nice and caring teacher but not the best at teaching. Make sure you attend lecture because he gives some hints on what's going to be on the exam. You mostly teach yourself the content and self-study during lab time but ask questions if you need help. It's easy to fail because your grade is solely based on the exams so be ready to study hard.

Midterms and finals are close to other tests therefore very little time to study, he doesn't really help it's up to you to read and memorize everything he is very specific and tough grader. No other assignments besides test so you need to pass them all with A's.

Amazing teacher and is very reasonable. Anatomy in general is not easy, but he is a great teacher that makes the class fun! McJilton is a genuine teacher that wants his students to succeed, but you get what you give. If you are not dedicated, and slack off, then you will not pass. Use all of the lab time to study and ask him for help when neededkr.

McJilton is a very helpful prof. Use time in class to study the models. He often does ask tricky questions on the exam based on the models so it's important to pick his brain about the models. The book is useful for a good foundation but the models are essential to make an A. He gives 6 exams on models and 2 cumulative exams. Overall a great prof!

He doesn't really teach per-say. He gives you the material and then lets you just kind of figure it out, there's no real lab; you use the class time to teach yourself the material. Tests are hard and he does try to trick you. If you are thinking about going into nursing, I would not recommend this class.

McJilton is a wonderful teacher and truly makes Anatomy fun to learn. If you stay in lab to learn models and study the book and lab manual you can definitely pull an A. He is incredibly friendly and helpful and if you take good notes, it will be crystal clear what he is going to test on. I completely recommend him - I wish he taught more Bio course

He is a great teacher. He loves the subject and is always helpful as long as you've tried. If you come up asking a question and obviously haven't even looked he will tell you to try first. I would totally recommend him. You HAVE to study and go to lecture cuz he tests from lecture and the lab manual which he wrote.

Funny, nice, and good looking teacher. Subject isn't too hard just massive amounts of memorization, he is willing to help but does not provide as many resources for studying (such as prof trubovtiz does) He is a little disorganized! Study notes, book, and use online resources and you will have great success!

Overall great professor - very easy going and funny; makes the material interesting. He is fair, but not easy. The best advice is to take good lab notes - the lab notebook is your best tool to use for test preparation.

He's a great teacher. Super helpful but you gotta ask during class. Make sure to write down ALL of his lecture notes and study from the lab manual. This class does take a lot of time but I think we all need to learn how to prioritize our time......this could be a starter....if you haven't learn how to do so already.
