He never goes over homework or gives any feedback on it. He expects us to learn a new chapter on the day/week of exams. The exams are harder than anything else we do for the class.

Professor Talbot is nice. However, the course is hard and lots of homework to do. Since I took the online course, we need to read a lot, three chapters per week. No ppt. I learned all the chapters by myself. And the exam is hard.

Took this duing summer, so by defualt it was accelrated. Alot of work. every 3 days something due. Alot due at once. Only took two exams, one online the other in testing center. The study guide reflected NOTHING on the exam. His grading NEVER made sense and was never consistent. TIME CONSUMING. But again I took it during the summer.

Professor Talbot is a nice person. He is available outside the class to help you out. But the way his class is structured, students are graded based on the 3 exams. The homework online grade is basically insignificant comparing to the exams. Theres no extra credit whatsoever. The exams are HARD. Don't take it for granted, take notes and study HARD!

Took this class 2 learn about retirement, buying a house, investing in stocks/bonds, etc. He provides info needed on all of these topics in well-made lectures. Since this was online all HW, quiz/tests were online; all reflected the material & were relatively easy though u must put in the time otherwise the ?s will b hard. Nice guy.

Took him for Acct 221 & 222 by far the best accounting prof. There are wiley & orion due every week. If you have questions take advantage of his office hours. Accounting is a hard subject in which being in class and taking good notes as well as participation is key! Talbot does his very best to reassure & encourage each student! He's a rad guy!

BLENDED CLASS: Accounting isn't hard but a lot to learn so you can't BS. Talbot gives resources to practice though it's overwhelming shuffling 10 diff resources for each chapter (videos/power points/lectures/Orion etc) Figure out what works for you. Practice is key. YT/Google what you still don't get. He bumps up borderline grade w/ participation.

He didn't teach acc ll, so I had another prof. I went to his office a few times for tutoring and as soon as he explained the problems I got them. I said in the review below I am an esl, English is not my first language, but he explained the material more clear than water. Do the Hw, practice a lot on wp and don't wait to the last minute to study

Prof. Talbot is one of the best prof. I have ever had at my MC. I took Acc I with him fall16 and I learned so much from him. He really knows the material. Accounting is a hard subject and business is a competitive field so Professor Talbot is no pushover. He provides you with so many materials that you can use but its up to you to utilize them. Best of all he has video lectures of each chapter on blackboard so you can go over confusing concepts at home. Take him, be ready to work and you'll succeed.

So professor talbot expects a lot of work out of you in this online class, there is very long homework that if you don't finish you will shoot yourself in the foot. Participation is key in the class even though its online. The class overall is tough because it is a snooze fest class and tough subject to wrap your head around. If you must take it.

Hes a great teacher, really nice, always willing to help. Accounting is NOT an easy subject so of course it can be confusing sometimes. Be sure to study tons and do all the hw. Quizzes are easy but then the tests are super hard so STUDY.
