Comment:

Her lectures were kind of hard to keep up with for the most part and she was kind of sarcastic and rude when you try to ask questions. She was not available when I would ask her for help. I struggled a lot in her class at the beginning but after the first test I started to understand her teaching better. Helpful reviews and notecards on tests.

Comment:

Amy Mills was great. She was clear, straightforward, and things were as they were. She was accessible outside of class, she expected you to come prepared, act like an adult in her class, and gave partial credit, explaining what you did wrong. I liked her as a teacher, if you really want to learn. Do the homework, and you'll do just fine.

Comment:

Overall, she definitely knows what shes talking about. Stats is a tough class and she quickly goes through problems and doesnt explain enough as shes walking through them. Leaves many people asking questions. If you can keep up, shes great.

The worst thing about this class is that the tests including the final make up 90% of your final grade so that doesn't leave much room for error. Homework is confusing and she marks off points for stupid things. When you ask questions in class, she gets irritated and is condescending as she answers them. Going to class is a must or you'll fail.

Amy is a very fast lecturer. She takes points off for dumb things like not circling what time you have her class at on the homework, and she isn't very respectful to students who aren't understanding the concepts. She also is very rude when a phone goes off in class. I don't recommend her for Statistics, unless you have had a stats class before...

I never took a single page of notes in this class. And I accumulated over 16 absences over the semester. I Still received a 95 percent in the class. I asked for help one time and her immediate response was to tell me I have to pay more attention and that I was stupid for even asking. I have no respect for her and her methods are terrible.

The teacher totally knows what she is talking about. But she don't know how to teach. I definitely don't feel like we get any support or encouragement in class, but instead she is just strict and tough. She doesn't make the class feel like you can ask questions without frustrating her or making her mad.

Amy is super nice when I go in to get help, but definitely not an easy class. She goes through lectures very fast and it can be easy to get lost. Try your hardest not to miss class.

Amy is SUPER FAST! He goes over the problems way too fast and somehow always gets stuck on one problem for a long time. Homework and in class assignments almost every single week. A very tough grader, she will take your points for stupid things. Her homework is harder than the exam. The textbook is not useful at all, dont buy it.

As long as you go to class, you'll get an A. Notecards allowed on all tests plus a huge (and easy) extra credit project that'll boost your grade by a letter. Amazing professor, I learned a lot from her.

This was my third time taking this class, she finally made it click. Don't get me wrong I hated the class and it was incredibly hard for me, and many people who I have talked to about her hate her and think she is horribly dull. The dull part it spot on. She will honestly try and explain anything to you. Rocks a mean tie-dye shirt collection.

Amy is a terrible teacher. She is not very clear in class. She is super fast in her lectures and when you ask her to slow down she gets mad. When you ask for help she is ignorant. I do not recommend this teacher at all. Don't waste your time with her because you won't enjoy this class.

Comment:

Don't buy the Stats 101 book. It is rarely used in class, and when it is used, she just writes the problem on the board anyway. Amy goes over things pretty clearly and will answer you if you ask a question. She can be a little snarky, but it's not too bad. Note cards are allowed on all tests, final included. With work, A is definitely achievable.

Amy is a decent lecturer, although she tends to move pretty fast. It can be challenging to keep up with her, especially when she writes on the board. She is generous with grades and allows note cards on all the exams. There are in-class exercises that you need to be there for.

Online aspect of this class is already a bit challenging. Don't expect clear or detailed explanations from mills. She knows math but not instructing. Comes off as rude when asked for help, maybe not intentional but definitely frustrating. Choose a different instructor for 1108.
