Comment:

Dr. Scalarone is one of my favorite professors! I would love to take more courses from him. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches. All of his exams are straight from his lectures, so never miss class and don't worry about buying the textbook. If you put in the time and effort you will do great.

Comment:

Don't buy the textbook, buy the notes he sells the first day of class ($20). He reads off the same notes and everything on the test comes out of it. Only 4 tests, no cumulative final. He gives you practice tests and reviews and curves all the exams. Pretty much this guy is wants to give you a good grade, but you have to put in a little effort.

Dr. Scalarone is a greater professor. He truly cares about helping students both in class and in obtaining research experiencing. His notes are fairly comprehensive. His classes are great for preparing for any medical or health related program.

Scalarone is such an easy going professor. His tests are straightforward and they only contain material that are covered in the study guide he gives. He curves the test and curves the final grade by a lot. You don't need to go to the class to pass but if you want an A then go. It's easy. Buy the notes he sells and study the material well.

Buy the $20 notes he sells on the first day. Go to class, he will tell you what is important on the notes and what isn't. His notes are sometimes hard to understand, but in lecture he will explain them better. He constantly says what will be on the test in class. Easy A, because I went to class.

I really enjoyed this class and I thought it was pretty easy. I never missed class and I only used the notes that sells for $15. He gives study guides, old exams, does a study review the class before a test, and usually curves the test by a couple of points. Its a relatively easy class for the given subject.

This was a waste of time class!! The lecture notes were offered for $15, but they were usually difficult to understand. I went to his office for a help a few times and he refused to see me.Very frustrating. Thank goodness I bought the book!! It saved me. I missed class a lot but studied the book and the lecture notes and did fine.ues the old tests!

Easy class. Lecture was pretty boring, it was the notes exactly, but I think it helped my grade that I went because sometimes the notes don't make sense without him explaining them. Definitely don't buy the book. Just buy the notes at the beginning of the semester.

Easy class if you put the study time in. I spent 3-4 hours per day for 2-3 days before each exam and got my A. Gives access to old exams which are GREAT study guides. Didn't use the book at all, used only the notes which were offered to us for $15 the first day of class. You need these notes. $15 is worth it even if it means donating plasma for $

He often did say "you already know this" when we didn't. 302 would have been easier if he would have covered things more thoroughly in 221. Chapter and reading references were vague. It might be a small section from the chapter and he doesn't clarify that. But if you know someone with all the old tests you get an A. If you don't--you struggle

He's a great guy and it's an ok class. I had a hard time understanding the details. His notes are kinda unclear. He always likes to say "you all know this stuff" when in actuality we don't. I'd say that he's an ok teacher and would still recommend him.

Dr. Scalarone is an excellent professor. I would recommend him to anyone. I took this class during the summer and it was one month long. Most of the time when you take a summer science class you think it is hard but he does everything he can to make sure everyone gets a good grade.
