I've taken both eng 43 & 49 with this teacher. His work is very easy & he's really helpful! He's been my favorite professor so far. If your writing skills aren't good I highly recommend you take him. & his hw is so easy

Mr. Hicks has the potential to teach us so much, but chooses not to. Every time a student brought up a concern/question Mr. Hicks told us he would explain it later. Later never came. He did teach us basics, which anyone who was in Eng 101 should have already known. I was frustrated coming to class knowing that all we would do is watch a movie and

Professor Hicks was one of my favorite professors. I loved how all of his teachings revolved around controversial topics, which made it interesting to pay attention. At the end of the semester, we got to watch a lot of documentaries that I liked, which made it easier to focus on our bigger assignments at home.

Comment:

Hicks is an excellent teacher, especially if you want to excel in English. My writing skills have improved tremendously by taking his class. If you do all your assignments with few mistakes and turn them ON TIME you will pass the class, but if you are a slacker I wouldn't recommend this class. Also, class becomes EASIER toward the end of semester.

I learned a lot in his class. He's a very good teacher. If you keep up with all the essays and assignments then you'll do well. Try not to miss more than a day because you'll miss some points from in class assignments. His class is pretty easy and stress free. I would take it again if I had to.

Great teacher! Would continue taking him for all my English classes but he does not teach higher than 101. Shame. Fast returns on essays and other assignments, very helpful and loves to teach. Great for anyone needing that little extra push in English classes! Highly recommended!!

Professor Hicks is funny and sweet, but he isn't a good professor. If you want to have an easy grade without learning, take his class, but if you really want to improve your English skills, do not take his class. He doesn't teach that much. He likes students to do watch movies in class instead of his lecure. I wish he would teach us students more.

GREAT!:) i took his summer class and he is such a great teacher that i had to redue my whole fall semester juss so i could take english 101 with him! If you like your prof to be funny take him! i dont believe he grades hard at all. just make sure to do all your homework and you are fine!!! i highly recomend him!!!
