He never gave a syllabus and you never know how good you are doing in this class. One midterm and one final and our midterm was never given back. Everything is based on one pointless book. Worst professor I have ever taken in any college.

Do your GPA a favor and avoid him. Your entire grade is based off a mid-term which he doesn't prepare you for and a final that he doesn't prepare you for. All the notes that we took in class didn't even make it on the final.

He does not give a syllabus which means that you do not know what is coming up. He gives you a novel to read and the final is based on it. Nothing in his lectures is part of the final which means that going to all the lectures like I did was useless. This also means that taking notes is also useless. This is a pass or fail class based on one test.

First of all we never got a syllabus, second off our entire grade in the class was determined by ONE 33 question multiple choice final, and if you know anything about philosophy, philosophical concepts are much more than a few one word multiple choice questions. If you have him DONT TAKE IT, believe me, drop ASAP.

His lectures are interesting but absolutely NONE of it sill make it to the test. He gives only a final which is based on a book he never went over.if you have him, good luck that's what you'll need to pass.

Nice guy, complete Marxist though. However he is just saying his opinion unlike other such professors at Kean. Attendance is not mandatory. I only went to two classes, took the final, got a B+. If you have a lot of prior knowledge on the subject you can do the same. Otherwise, attend every class and he guarantees a C even if you fail the final.

Excellent professor! Highly engaged in the class and you can tell he loves what he does. He weaves his lessons so each class coincides with the next on completely different subjects and wraps them in a nice perplexing bow to have you thinking critically for hours.

Bob Sitelman is one of the most interesting academics I have ever met. As my philosophical instructor for many years, Bob is in a class unto himself at Kean. His passion is effusive; his compassion is infinite. Without him as a life-guide, I could possibly be shackled and sitting in Plato's Cave.

This man changed my understanding of the world forever. I am so grateful to have experienced the joy of his teachings for multiple years. I have never encountered a professor as passionate as him. He laughs, gets angry, and even cries discussing certain subjects. AMAZING. Anyone complaining isn't worthy of this level of education.

This man is by far one of the worst teachers i have ever had. he is so boring. your grade is based on a midterm and a final. half of the test is on what he rambles about and the other is on the book that you never go over. why issue a book in an intro class that you dont go over? all in all...DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!!

Dr. Sitelman is a great professor. He really cares about the students and the world that surrounds us. I took him for existentialism and let me tell you I learned so much. From Kierkegaard to Nietzsche. He is such an educated and talented professor. I recommend to anyone to take this guy. He is totally awesome.

Horrible. He rambles about absolutely nothing and his grades are based on one midterm and one final. Thats it. If you fail one, which everyone in my class did, then your doomed. Take someone else.

Sitelman is a great professor. Yes, he does ramble about things that seem nonsensical but somehow he ties everything together. He is extremely smart and really gets your mind going if you stay awake enough to listen. He goes until 10:15 almost every time but as long as you show up you'll get a good grade.

This professor has a method to his "madness". His actions, such as turning his back toward the class and speaking softly to closing the door to talking about sex (which was minimal)were his efforts to "wake up" some sleepers. He has a purpose..for all to pass his class! Fortunately it worked...for some! Listen, read and take his notes. You'll be o

Awesome, mind-boggling teacher with wisdom, subtle knowledge and a confounding personality. Sitelman loves to question students and then playfully reveal the limitations and minimality of students' responses, thus reorienting and expanding our minds. I had four classes with Sitelman and after each class I was more uncertain about what he believes

He is pretty easy. A midterm and a final but theyre multiple choice. Come to class and notes. Only problem is he will keep you the entire class time. . . even if it means keeping you there until 10:30.

Sitelman is a brilliant professor that really loves his work. His orientation is completely based on knowledge rather than grades. If you have a really short attention span, you may want to avoid this class. However, if you love philosophy and things put into an accessible format, take him.

He is one of the greatest persons I have ever met in my life. He?ll give you answers to many of the question that you have about life. Just go to class and listen to what he is saying, you won't regret it!!! He?ll keep you till the last minute, but that is not a bad thing cuz everything he says is interesting and makes sense.
