CCR is the coolest person in Tisch. By far. Have fun with your friends trying to guess how old he is, because he looks anywhere from 25 to 45. Also secretly a HUGE nerd. Check out his Star Trek and Minecraft youtube channels. But yeah, I've learned a lot from his personal anecdotes and tips.

CCR is probably the most intelligent professor I've had at NYU. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field, and has an educational anecdote for every single aspect of film. He's super funny, and class is always entertaining. And, you'll actually LEARN in this class, unlike most other Frame & Sequence professors.

CCR is an amazing man. He really cares about your work and gives incredible feedback. I knew other students with different professors and it was clear that CCR was the better professor and that we were learning much more in his class.

Chris Chan Roberson (or CCR as he often goes by) is by far the most inspirational professor I've had the honor of being instructed by. He immediately commands respect but not fear, and works hard to know the individual student well. PLEASE take this man for Frame and Sequence

Amazing teacher, nice helpful, incredibly funny. Makes you work but at the same time is understandable if something goes wrong. Always has criticism both positive and negative for every project. The setting he set up in our class made it so that we all became great friends. Take him, by far the best F&S teacher, everybody regrets not taking him.

No other teacher has given me such crystal clear criticism. He has high expectations for students. He is incredibly empathetic. He also prepares students for sight and sound film very well. His lessons will stay with you forever.

CCR is definitely one of the best Frame and Sequence teachers you can have. He really is strict about work and camera logs, but it teaches you to be a better filmmaker. He really challenges you and I can honestly say that I walked out of that class a better film student. Not to mention- he is absolutely hilarious.

CCR is a must-have for DFS. He gives extremely insightful comments on your projects that is always constructive, though he always makes fun of at least one person in someone's project each week. He's very critical, and a hard grader but lax on your final grade. Midterm was difficult but allowed to re-take at home. Very funny, cool guy. Will miss!

Great teacher -- very informative, energetic, and knowledgeable. The negatives: camera logs are required (can be annoying when working with actors because you'll have to keep them entertained while you take time to log each shot), doesn't seem to like music in films, and I could never tell if he really enjoyed my film. He's always praising them!

CCR is by far the coolest DFS teacher out there. You just sit there and let CCR tell you all the stories and perform his imitations. Class is relaxed - eating and lying down on the floor allowed! CCR's also really good about sticking around to help you out for as long as you need his help. By far my fave professor :)

The best. CCR is crazy, amazing, hilarious, cutting-edge, and so cool. You'll find him playing video games in the labs from time to time, and making weird noises. The man is incredible. "Big up yourself!" "Get your food on!" "Yehhhhssssss."

Chris is one of the most interesting professors you may ever meet in your life... quite a tall statement, considering you're probably attenting NYU, home of such great eccentric professors like Tannis and Drysdale. What's more, he's helpful and knowledgeable. And he knows how to tell a story like no other teacher... ask about the Worst Shoot Ever.

Taking this class with CCR was great because I came in having virtually no photography experience, but he was very helpful and patient. The class was really really fun and I learned a lot! He's very accessable and will answer any questions you have. He's also freakishly familiar with photography, which is incredible, but great.

CCR in a word: Awesome. Yeah, the constant videos get a little old and sometimes he goes off tangent, but I am learning a lot and getting a lot of chances to apply what I've learned. The friday class is a bit of a drag, and I'd totally hate it if not for Chris. He makes Friday learning not so bad. And the pigtails have grown on me.
