For my major I am required to take acting 1, but I am not a performance major. Christine is harder on actors to weed out those who are unfit. I believe she is a poor communicator and is constantly changing her mind. She will tell us specifically how she wants an assignment, but then say something different after grading it. Only cried once.

Overall, she is a helpful teacher. You do need to have thick skin when you come to class or else some comments she makes can get to you. She means well and is trying to be constructive but doesn't always come off that way. As long as you have all the materials from class, show up on time, and give your best effort, you will succeed.

Comment:

Personally, one of the best acting teachers I've had; And one of the few who really made me feel I was worth something. She instilled so much confidence in me. I highly recommend her, but get to class on time!

Christine is very enthusiastic about the material and makes sure she covers all of the material thoroughly. I recommend not being late to her class though and turning assignments in on time. She can make you feel terrible about yourself if you don't follow that rule. Overall, a great teacher and I will be taking her again for TAR 110 in the Fall.

Christine is my favorite teacher thus far at NKU. She's super helpful, and just a kind person. As long as you do what she asks and come to class she will love you and you will love her. I had her for race, gender, and theater, and also Acting 1. I highly recommend taking her!

I love Professor Jones. She really loves the material she teaches, and she's been nothing but helpful and understanding during the time that I've been in her class. She keeps the class interesting by the way she verbally presents the material as well. Overall she is a wonderful Professor.

Christine is an excellent professor and is very passionate about theatre. In Acting I, you MUST come to class. And you must be willing to do A LOT of work outside of class. But it is all rehearsal-oriented stuff, there are only one or two papers to write and such. Don't worry, just be kind to Christine, do as she asks, and you'll have a great time.

In Acting I, she takes everything very seriously, but is still super fun! Very understanding, extremely professional. I learned a TON. She can whip you into shape. NEVER be late!!! She treats this class like a real world situation! So helpful.

Very nice professor and gets along with her students well. Always willing to help anyone out. It's a great class for begineers or even those who have acting experience. I learned a lot. She speaks her mind and doesn't let you off easy if you she feels you can do better. Provided great constructive criticism.
