Great professor, lectures are informative and you will learn a lot without feeling to stressed. Very understanding and doesn't throw curveballs. Provides very good lecture notes and is very consistent in lectures.

He writes on board every lecture. Clear handwriting and many specific examples help us to learn step by step. The HW solutions do not have PDF versions but he'll talk about those problems in class. You should think independently or maybe discuss with your classmates for some extend to figure out HW problems. Fresh topics like bitcoin were added.

I took wireless networking with him. Great professor teches very well and class is very interesting well at least if you are into hacking and learning about internet technologies and such.

Dr. Starobinski is one of the best teachers I had through my BS and MS programs. Fair and predictable in grading, and very accessible outside class. Pay attention in class, do homework, and you'll do great.

(note - SC 546 is now SC 446) He's clear and helpful. Lab assignments are easy, exams are difficult. He's a rough grader on exams. I love the way this guy laughs. :)
