Zusman is a timid professor with a soft voice, so sit close. His lectures are the most interesting out of the 3. You get to watch some videos in his section, but I wish we would have just spent more time on the slides (which is what the test is on). His test was fair, but required a good amount of studying. Lots of writing on his test-all short ans

Textbook is not needed at all. His lectures are very well organized, sticks to the reader. His tests do require some memorization. He goes very fast during lectures. There's a lot of material, even though it is not that hard. The test was very fair.

Interesting and clear lectures. Don't bother reading the book because his reader is all you need. His tests are just a bunch of short answer questions. Not too hard

I loved his section of the class. Makes it interesting and mixed w/ info on how we can apply what we're learning in the real world. Also, don't buy the bk. Just buy the readers & you'll b fine!!Trust me.

I thought Zusman was a good teacher and found his part the most interesting of the three. His test is entirely conceptual and requires you to have a good grasp from the first lecture through the last lecture. It was more difficult than I anticipated so I wished I had studied more and visited him in office hours.

Difficult exam. Helpful during office hours. Kind of a leap from lecture material to exam.

Every question on his exam is conceptual, so you really need to have a firm grasp of the material. He does have this nervous demeanor about him and at times it can be hard to hear what he is saying, but I liked his lectures and found them interesting.

His test is very difficult in that almost the entire thing is free response explanations. He mumbles a lot too, so it's hard to catch what he's saying in class

Prof. Zusman is interesting and his reader is straightforward. Rather than going to all the lectures, I found it more useful to read the text, read his reader, understand the importance of each step in the experiments he emphasizes and definitely do and understand the old exam in the reader. Exam wasn't so bad.

Even if you understand his lectures (which are pretty simple), it doesn't mean you'll get the test. You have to know everything to be prepared for his conceptual tests. He likes to ask a lot about making up your own experiments, and that can be difficult if you have no background in the methods he covers in lectures.

Very amiable professor. Emphasized concepts, which are what get you through the test. Test was very doable. His nervous demeanor and stiff "scared kid" posture are worrisome at first, but I think he was a pretty good professor.

His test seemed easy, but i did worst on his test (B) even though i thought i understood and knew material. Study his reader and black lightning notes hard it will pay off.

His lectures are pretty fun, he uses video clips like Jurassic Park and various animations to illustrate the concepts. His exams are straightforward, short answer, explain concepts kind of questions. I thought he was pretty decent.

I really enjoyed Prof. Zusman's portion of the class. He covers a lot of material, but he makes it interesting and relevant. His lectures are very clear and he is funny. His tests emphasize understanding the concepts rather than memorizing the details - worked for me...
