With no previous CS experience, course can be difficult. Definitely recommend visiting her office hours and asking questions -- she's very helpful and clarifies everything. Deducts small amounts of points on pretty much every assignment. Do extra credit on assignments when possible and you'll be fine. Overall, great and knowledgeable professor.

Awful class. Hard as hell. Makes you suicidal. Way too much work- homework everyday, projects, labs every week, quizzes, and tests. Not a CS major and so i felt like this class was a total waste and i'll never use what i learned again. And the final was impossible.

Her class is very hard. It's like she expects you to already know what you are doing. I hate computers and have no clue what to do with them, and this class did not help whatsoever. I wouldn't take this class with this teacher if I were you.

She is a horrible teacher. She tells rather than teaches. She does not help at all. Every assignment is impossible. The class is supposed to be an intro to computer science but you need to know Java on the first day!!!!! Do not take her you woll fail.

Terrible teacher, explainer, and is not interested in helping her students. Because of her I no longer am interested in Computer Science. Not to mention we do hwk b4 we learn the topics. Labs = impossible. Summary, if u have her get your class changed

she is nice when you go see her but wont help much. wants u to think for yourself but needs to understand that this is also a learning environment. tests are impossible and she loaded on like 3 projects right before finals.

very helpful and available. lots of work, but none of it is too hard, especially because everything is on ppts. the most annoying thing is how she takes off .05 points for things. i'd def take again though!!

Yeah. Her tests suck and she tries to teach computer science from powerpoints. Hard grader as well -- no leniency and her reasons for taking points off are iffy.

Very tough to understand in class. Lab and assignments due every week. Lots of work in this class. Curves tests pretty well, and quizzes are easy. Willing to help, but has a hard time understanding her when she's trying to help. Not taking her again.
