I took the Evolution of Ideas class on Monsters. She was clearly passionate about the subject and didn't give too much homework. Class wasn't too bad and we did lots of group work during recitation. I'd say one of the better HONR classes offered that semester.

She's an interesting professor and clearly very knowledgeable but I find that her assigned readings are almost never related to what is discussed. Additionally, I observed that she would, every so often, put down others who held different political views than she did and can act a little bit arrogant at times.

Dr. Facinelli was an easy enough teacher, but frequently would assign readings unrelated to any written or discussion work in the class. In addition, she often took on a condescending or pretentious nature with the class.

Dr. Facinelli is the best teacher for HON171 and 272! She's witty, sarcastic, and thought provoking. 3 essays on the reading that can be stressful but she's fair. If you go to her with questions about your essay before turning it in she'll definitely help you (it's boosted some essay scores for me). Sporadic reading quizzes with short answers, READ

You should take Professor Facinelli for Human Event! I think she is definitely the best choice. She is very friendly and always willing to help. She definitely knows her material. There is a lot of boring reading but it is Human Event after all. The quizzes are not too hard if you read. And she is definitely a fair essay grader.

D-Fas is the best. Had a few classes with her; she is my honors thesis director and is always helping me get more info, keep organized, ect. She knows her stuff and is helpful. Def nominating her for professor of the year.

Moderately difficult class. She grades essays fairly tough, but she seems pretty lenient with participation. The quizzes can also be considered as a way of grade-padding. As a teacher, she coordinates discussions pretty well; she makes great points about the text. She gives good feedback on your papers, and it's advised to consult her out of class.

I took Dr. Facinelli for the Barrett Experience. She is a great teacher: humorous, candid, and encouraging. Since it was an elective we had few assignments; however, I wished we had more just so I could see what she might have thought about my work! She is very aware of the Barrett community and will answer whatever questions you have.

Though I really disliked the Human Event, it is mandatory for honors students and from what I've heard about other professors, Facinelli is hands down the best professor to take it with. She is extremely knowledgeable and cares about the material. Make sure you do the reading for EVERY class, quizzes unpredictable. It wasn't actually that difficult

Facinelli is a love her/hate her kind of person. She's sarcastic and more than willing to call you out for saying something stupid. That being said, we spent an entire day comparing the assigned text to cartoons. Finish your papers 3 days early, then have her read them and MAKE SURE TO EDIT THEM; you'll get an A.

She was a great professor and shows serious interest in the topics being discussed. She's funny and keeps the class interested. Make sure you read the readings for cass, it's hard to predict quizes, even when you think you have the system down, so always read (even if you can only read sparknotes make sure you read something)

Facinelli is probably the best teacher I had this semester. She is engaging and just one of those teachers that you don't want to disappoint. If you are going to skip out on homework for one class, don't make it Human Event. I enjoyed her class and took away a lot of newfound knowledge from it. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

Best teacher I have ever had. Makes clear what is expected of student while keeping classes interesting. Has a great, sarcastic sense of humor and is very personable with her students. Not a very easy grader, but helps you understand how to do better on the next paper. Best HON teacher out there.

Facinelli is an amazing Honors prof. She's hilarious, sarcastic, and extremely entertaining. You can definitely get an A on her essays if you do your work and think critically. She has office hours prior to essay due-dates and I found just chatting with her about the texts and possible ideas extremely helpful.

THIS IS MY 3rd time taking HON 272....I hated the other classes, but Facinelli saved my Honors status! She's brilliant, chill, generous, benevolent, sarcastic (in a nice, humorous, way) and she makes you love literature (and I HATE literature). She's not arrogant, demanding, pick favorites, like the other honors teachers, and she CARES about us!!

Quite possibly the smartest person I've ever met. She is hilarious and sarcastic and makes boring literature exciting. She forces you to think and question your beliefs. She grades papers thoroughly, but A's ARE possible on them. The class isn't very structures and conversations are constantly entertaining and thought provoking! Take her!!
