Worst teacher I've ever had throughout my education. Terrible at explaining things. And not at all interested in helping his students to understand the material. I was a straight A math student and he nearly ruined my love for math.

Class attendance optional, just do all the problem sets (mandatory ~2 weekly) and you will do well on the test. Tests are photocopies of of problems gone over in class. Final was a collection of problems from previous tests. Very easy.

The lectures were pretty straightforward and organized. Anything that I didn't understand I was able to ask him outside of class and he was really helpful. His tests are just like the homework.

He is truly a great professor. If you come to class each day and take notes you will do great. He also gives bonus problems on tests and homework. He put up some lectures in mp3 format online for those who missed class. Please take him!!

I never took calc before taking it with prof. nhieu, so unlike some others here, I had to go to class everyday. However, if you go to class everyday and do the homework, and ask questions, he will help you learn everything well. A very easy class overall.

If you have taken calc before, this class will be a joke. Tests are made up of only hw probs which he tells you ahead of time. Has a strong accent and does not speak good english but if you can get past that he is very helpful if you go see him during office hours. lots of extra credit. most people did not come to class except on test days

He is by far the worst professor I have had so far. His lectures are dry and uninspired, not to mention mentally and physically draining. The difference between the first and second midterms is dramatic. Some of the questions were a bit vague. If you ace the homework problems, you should be fine. If not, then you are screwed!

Worst prof ever. Can't understand him, homework due almost every day, and he doesn't know the subject. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You're better off teaching yourself from the book than being bored out of your mind.

By far the worst prof. I've ever had at Georgetown. His accent is awful, you can barely understand him and his lectures confuse you worse than if you didn't go at all. Most of the class didn't go. Avoid this class!

Horrible lecturer. I didn't go to class and just taught myself from the book (I had very little experience with math) and I got an A-. I felt that going to class was total waste of time and was even disruptive to my learning process. His exams are problems from the book, so if you can do those, you are good.

Really a nice guy...he tries but doesn't quite get there. His tests are horrible, though problems pretty much come from the HW. GO TO OFFICE HOURS!!! It really does help. You'll understand much more than you ever will in class. For HW, grades 2,3 problems & that's your grade but drops the lowest 2.
