Comment:
This professor is very dry and very egotistic. He is concern regarding student learning the course but not concern with the success of student passing his course. He doenst do curve or offer additional extra credit. His test is true and false, mutliple choices and problem. He knows the course inside and outside.

His sense of humor is very dry, and he's neither charming nor personable, but he knows the material upside down, inside out and backwards. Excellent real world experience brought to the lectures. Go to class, stay awake (caffiene may be necessary), and read the text. He WILL budge on that grade if he knows you are working hard.

This class was hard, but I managed to pull off a C. The last test was tough (over 7 chapters)I did not think I was going to pass. But I do recommend going to all the classes and staying though all them.

I was a graduating senior with a borderline grade and because he made his final 7 chapters and worth 40% of our grade I was doomed to fail He even admitted in class that most students do not do well on this exam! Now because of this one class I did not graduate and I have to retake this one class! He is not concerned with the success of is students

All the comments below are too harsh. He may be boring, but he is very easy to follow and understand. Sometimes he is even elementary. As long as you listen and do the very few problems that he has for HW you will do fine. I have dropped this course before and he is the best that I have had. He is boring but easy!

Go to class and take notes and you'll do fine. The only points are the 3 exams. Mr. McAlister is pretty serious, without much sense of humor, but the material isn't all that difficult. He also doesn't use a lot of complicated statistics formulas!

Very difficult class to take with this instructor. Instead of him being of help, he only makes it worse. No smiles, no friendliness about him. WILL NOT budge, even for a tenth of a point for passing purposes. Rude at times. No sense of humor at all!!
