I honestly tried to like him. He made it almost unbearable to be in his class. He is VERY inconsistent with his grading. No matter how hard you work on a paper, it wont be good enough for him. He words tests so it's hard to pass. Overall, I would NOT recommend taking him. By far the WORST professor I have ever had at RVC.

This professor is VERY vague. All of his requirements are unclear. He could never ONCE during the whole semester tell me my grade or where I stood. His grading is inconsistent with guidelines. He gets mad at students when they aren't experts on present history that isn't relevant to the material. Overall, he's too unpredictable.

Hands out a syllabus that shows the intention to reach and complete chapter 23 (the eigth in a book of sixteen), but we fell short on chapter 20. Generally five to ten minutes late to class. He demeans students' knowledge of the present. If I were to give him a catch phrase, it would be, "This is America, past and present." Don't expect an A.

He's very unclear on what he wants you to know. He seems to play favorites. He picks on certain students. He is disrespectful, and if you answer a question correctly he says its wrong and restates what you say as the answer.

This teacher was very demeaning to the students - did not give but maybe a few examples on the board. Had students doing research and reading what they found from internet. He was late all the time and lazy. Never got my final paper back. If you are excited about history you will leave disappointed. Had no control of his class. Waste of time.

I'd like to see you guys try to teach obnoxious students AND remain organized AND have a personal life. Don't take his class if you expect to just float by without putting any thought into your work. Want to remain ignorant? Don't waste this man's time. He is one of the few, rare teachers with deep integrity and patience. To pull the race card on him is absurd and a cop-out for your own laziness. Very disorganized teacher. Everyday is a surprise as to what is going to happen which is something I did not like. He has you read a book which is a must. He picks favorites and if I had not been one of them I don't know if I would have passed the class. I would recommend the class but with a different teacher.

He wants people from all walks of life to take an interest in the topic. He has the experience to talk freely about the subject. He is all about getting students to think for themselves. His class is a lot of pressure, especially during the summer semester, but if you hold out he works with you and not against you. Very helpful, respectful, & wise

Terrible teacher. Moved super slowly, did not follow the syllabus, grades on perceived potential. Taught as though we thought that people from Ancient Egypt t were white. Basically, he treated us all like we were prejudiced against Africa. His papers are impossible, unless of course you can read his mind and agree with everything he says/thinks.
