Great teacher. Extremely enthusiastic about the material and knows how to frame it in a way that students will understand. Very picky about certain things--such as units and interpretation--which is entirely justified. Exams are truly dependent on how well you prepare, but they were fairly easy.

Awesome professor! Always helpful at office hours and very knowledgeable in her subject and can answer any question you have. Always treats her students with respect and doesn't make you feel dumb if you don't know an answer.

Prof Reed is one of the best professors I've had so far. She is always willing to help if you put in the effort. She makes learning statistics super easy as she interacts with the class very well. However, if you do not show up to class, you will not pass. Her class is designed for you to come to class and she'll work with you.

Best Professor I have had at MTU. Always willing to help and goes the extra mile to make sure you understand. Very kind, and clearly an expert in her fields. Communicates material well and is approachable with any questions. If you have a chance to take one of her classes, do it!

Although I had a background in precalc before I took it with Beth, I felt like I understood it much better. Beth is extremely kind and reasonable. If you need help with course material when you're not in class, Beth is more than wiling to set up an appointment with you and help you lean the material, not memorize it.

Beth was an amazing teacher, she explains everything perfectly and won't move on unless she is sure that the material is understood. She gives many opportunities for extra credit but you must attend class if you hope to pass her extensive notes are what will be on her exams. Loved her classs!

By far one of the BEST teachers I have had at Tech. She does such a great job explaining everything so that even I, someone who's terrible at math, managed to not only get an A, but I actually understood everything. you MUST go to class though, her notes and worksheets are what prepare you for exams, I never even used the book.

Loved her! She told you exactly what you needed to know, and didn't try and confuse you with ambiguous formulas. Told it to you in plain english. Extremely helpful, if you ask questions she will make sure you understand in class or setup a time outside to meet. Very flexible with conflicts. Would recommend her to everyone! Favorite teacher at Tech.

You can learn the material fairly well if you go to class and your an English or a Forestry major as you will be taking about 2 pages of notes almost every day and most of her examples are Forestry related. Makes a simple subject into something more difficult than need be. Is a very meticulous grader especially on the homework. I wouldn't take her.

Really great person. If you have a question, feel free to ask since she will answer for you. On the exams, she lets you have a comfort sheet with what ever you want on them and will give other things for it as well. She's also willing to work with you with anything that is a problem. Excellent teacher.
