Comment:
I've gotten an A on his class during the 2019 spring semester, but it was due to living by the book and online resources. Stay away from this professor, he cannot be heard from a few seats away and his teaching methods are mediocre. He is a very intelligent man, but cannot teach. If you must take him, prepare to read and do everything yourself.

Comment:
Stay away. He is grumpy and his lectures and recitations are unhelpful. He does not care to explain things in any coherent way and is dismissive of almost any question you may ask him. If you must take him, study the practice exams he provides - the actual exams follow these closely. For the final, review the Cengage Question Bank (Ch 13-25).

Extremely hard, dont take him. The only good thing is that the exams were similar to his old ones he gave us as practice but our averages were still 36 and a 47. He mumbles and rambles in lecture and works off of slides. You have to teach yourself and he grades very hard. The final has questions from each chapter, 30 pgs, most multiple choice.

I was in the same class as the person who wrote below me. Do NOT listen to them when they say he's not hard. The final was INSANE. 45 pages of 84 multiple choice and just a handful of open-ended questions. He is NOT EASY AT ALL. Will continue this review above since my characters are running out. But even his previous exams were not this long.

Dr. Jordan is not hard, it's Organic Chemistry that's hard. You have to be willing to study on your own if you want to do well in the class. Just focus on the topics he covers in lecture, read the book and do the practice problems. If you need help, go to his office hours. Dr. Jordan is very smart and you will learn a lot from him.

He is a hard teacher but if you do the hw and read the book its not impossible. His lectures are only clear if you read the chapter prior to going to class.

EXTREMELY TOUGH CLASS!!! huskey is teaching orgo2 in spring 2010. I bought a copy of Jordan's final exam for $200 from a spanish girl. thats what got me the A in the class!!!

This class is very difficult, but it's not impossible. I got an A in the class without attending much. However, I busted my butt outside the classroom taking extensive notes, doing ridiculous amounts of hw problems, and living in the textbook. Memorization is very important, but it's not everything. Understand the stuff. The final is 20-25 pages.

Great professor. Take this class if you really want to learn organic chemistry. Especially if you are going for medical school and need to take the MCAT, this class will teach you organic better than any test prep class. You will have no problem on the MCAT orgo!!

I got an A in his class, but only working my butt off. He is hard but not impossible. Keep up with the material, don't just memorize, understand the concepts, and do lots of problems (especially the self-tests in the solutions manual).

Unless you are very confident in your Orgo knowledge going into his class WAIT and take it with another professor. His lectures are incomprehensible because of his accent and the way he mumbles. He has no problem with failing you.

i was warned not to take him, and i did just that. but i couldnt avoid orgo lab w/o him. he expects you to know what to do, even on your first day of lab. mean mean man. don't be surprised if you end up fighting with him in lab, almost everyone does. TA's are helpful, so is he if you dare to ask him. gluck!

His lectures are disorganized, you're better off reading the text than trying to make sense of his notes. He takes easy concepts and twists and tugs to make them incomprehensible. Read the textbook and do the homework and you'll be fine. His lectures are not worth attending.

I never missed a class, took pretty good notes, and though I understood the material. Still got a D. Taking it again with a different professor; my notes and the material actually make sense. I got an A on the first exam. What I'm saying is even if you think you get it, you won't get it to the degree he wants you to!
