One of the best professors as far as my experience is concerned. Come to each class, take notes, participate in small group work and you're good for the semester. He listens to student's concerns and understand them. After taking a class with him, you will start liking Psychology if you don't right now. Would love to take him again.

Definitely my favorite prof through all of my schooling! He likes people to talk and express opinions, but makes you feel comfortable to do so. He was always very interested in his topics, and explained them in interesting and fun ways! Study hard and participate and you will do well and love it!

If you are an A student, don't take his class. I am in UBC but before my transfer, he gave me the worst grade ever although I always got the highest mark on exams in his class. Worst instructor ever. Don't say anything against his idea!

If one tries their hardest, he realizes this. He takes everyone's ideas into consideration. Do not mind his carisma - some people mistake it for him being over emotional. He seems to REALLY love his study - more than most teachers I've had, and I'm at UBC now, so that means something. He challenges students, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

He is such a HYPOCRITE and totally biased when it comes to marking!! He tends to give good marks to student who talks a lot and student who asks a ton of stupid questions. He basically assumes students who are more quite are not as bright.

He keeps saying, "according to recent experiments( or data)... x is more likely to dadada,,," I don't get where he gets all this. None of them really sounds reliable to me,maybe cuz it's coming from him. He should bring reliable references, so students can actually see and believe that it's true. Anyways, don't take if u're calm/shy cuz he's biased

So please do not say that cuz it makes me wanna puke. he teaches the most fundamental principles and not the complex ones. does not prepare you to advance to the next level of the course. i personally do not like what he has to teach. Gary identifies intelligence as confidence level. He gives out good marks to people who are most popular or good-looking. He expects you to smile at all his jokes or to nod everytime he says something. Test scores are not as important as he states in his syllabus. He looks like a good guy, but he's a hypocrite. Do not take if you are shy.

Great teacher!!! Best class i ever have. Very interesting. Exam is not that hard (fair marking) if you listen in class and read the text book. Really need to attend his class everyday coz he doesn't like people being absent and late.
