Want a professor that cares about his students? Take Zimmermann. He's experienced (worked for KPMG for 30 years) and he knows what he's talking about. He gives extra credit, tells you in advance which topics will be on the test, and cares about your success. He's a gentleman that doesn't talk down to you, but you need to do your part, too.

He's a nice enough guy and has a lot of real world experience, however, he cannot teach to save his life. He rushes through slides and is belittling when asked a question. "come on guys this isn't that hard". You MUST read the text, and hope that the Connect homework has hints so you can teach yourself how to do the problems.

Be prepared to study!!! He goes over problems that will be on the exam as well as the journal entries. There are also quizzes at the end of each chapter. His lectures are long and boring but are beneficial. Must put in hours of studying in order to pass. Would take him again.

Comment:

The class is tough. However, the exams come directly from the test banks. All you have to do is study the test bank and you'll pass. Zimmerman knows what he is doing, but the lectures are Powerpoints slides which make it difficult to stay awake. I would only take his class if you are good at memorizing the test banks.

He is not a good professor. The textbook is awful, I have no idea why it is assigned. He gives us homework before going over the chapter so you don't know how to do it. There are three tests & one project (he doesn't go over the project). His tests a tricky, he will put a valid sentence as a choice and switch a word- so then it's wrong.

He's not the best teacher out there and is pretty lazy but is a nice guy and has good connections. His tests come straight from the test bank so just study that and the cases are difficult but you can find those answers online too. Find someone who took his class before, he uses the same quizzes, which can help your grade a lot.

Homework is easy but the quizzes and exams are difficult. Exams tend to be 30 multiple choice and 5 multi-part handwritten problems with the split being 60%40% respectively. Lectures are confusing because he's using old notes from previous class. He will go over quizzes and exams outside of class and does give back points missed.

CLASS IS MANDATORY!! If you miss a day of class he will deduct points from your final grade. He is great at accounting, but he is not a great teacher. You will be required to read the upcoming chapter before class because there will be an quiz. The lectures are long and bored. The test are challenging but passable. Study the POWER POINTS!!!

He's nice but an awful teacher. He is so unorganized and reads off year old slides that hes scribbled all over. His writing is awful. Cases are impossible and he doesn't even explain. He gives a lot of bonus points though. The exams are from the test bank so definitely download it and you'll do great. He doesn't do much. His grader does everything.

Not helpful whatsoever. Reads off PowerPoint entire class. Forgets what he's talking about frequently. Every problem on the exams comes from the test bank. Case studies are difficult because he doesn't go over anything. Overall, a very do-it-yourself class.

OMG-Just find the test bank($40 online) that goes with the current book and you're golden. Every question comes straight from it. Easy B, A if you're good at the workout problems. Must attend every class, and come prepared because he will call on you randomly.

Class attendance is required even though he doesn't teach anything!! He reads straight off from the PowerPoint slides, all of his quizzes & tests come straight from the textbook test bank. He has a grader so he is basically useless, I could teach this class & I still didn't learn a thing from him.

Class wasn't that bad. Made an A. Just show up and go to math tutor fOr additional help. He gives an awesome test curve and avg curve. So not as bad as everyone portrays him to Be. He's kinda humurous.

This guy knows nothing about teaching. Lectures could not be more boring and his examples and slides are right off the book's websiteso what is the point in going to class? This is a self-teach class cause you won't learn a thing from the professor.

Professor is worthless. He gives you quizzes before explaining the material and grades all homework for correctness. Tests are a killer and teaches this like a graduate level class. Expect to teach yourself 24/7 or get a tutor or you will not pass.
