This is by far the most useful class I have taken. Professor Dempsey wants to see you excel and is willing to work with you outside of class if need be. I couldn't believe the improvement made over the course of the semester by myself and all of my peers. It can be intimidating at first, but this class will definitely bring you out of your shell.

Jack is the best professor at Bentley and this is an awesome class! He will absolutely sharpen your speaking skills, and help you come out of your shell if you are shy. This is a must-take class if you want to take a fun class that will actually teach you something useful for your future. Also, Jack is a great mentor, and is always willing to help!

Literally the best teacher at Bentley. You want a teacher that cares about what his students think and say? Take him. He's the type of teacher who treats you like an equal and only wants to help you improve yourself. Awesome class.

Jack knows speech. By teaching simple mannerisms to change in presentation style you instantly learn how to command the room. Everyone in the class recieved a 4.0, and is "Mr. Available" always easily accessed for anything. Take him!

By far, the best professor I?ve ever had. His sincere interaction with students, along with his unique teaching manner makes a significant difference. As an extremely passionate and unbelievably intelligent man, he is someone you want to learn from. I can seriously go on and on about how great Jack is. You won?t be disappointed?I promise you.

Jack is the simply the best, what else is there to say. Engaging class taught by a funny, open-minded professor for whom you actually want to do work for. Treats students like his equals and teaches lessons that reach far outside of the classroom. A MUST take.

Best professor I have ever had, and one of the most interesting and intellectual people I have ever met. We went outside for speeches on nice days. Very blunt and honest, teaches you to master speaking AND how to live life to the fullest. No written assignments, prepares you for interviews and presentations. Must take, I got a 4.0. We love you Jack

I can't say enough good things about Jack. He's always available to help and is very constructive in helping students improve public speaking skills. He is honestly one of my favorite professors and if you have the chance, definitely take his class!

Jack, as he prefers to be called, is unique and marvelous teacher of English and writing. He has very precise style that will quickly and effectively remove bad writing and grammar habits. Overall the class was fun experience. It was very interactive and didn’t have too much work. A good effort will land you a 4.0.

Jack is probably the best teacher I have ever had in terms of writing. He was able to make something I had previously found to be a boring task a pleasurable experience. His method may seem insane at first but it truly did work and made me a much better writer. Plus, he's an amazing guitar player!!!!

Jack Dempsey is the man!!!! the best teacher i have ever had, you will learn as much about life as you will english, when you walk away from the class you will be a better writer and have a better outlook on life, there is a 12page mid term and a 20 page final, but Jack teaches you the process to be able to write a paper like that take this class!

Dempsey is amazing! Take his Expos 101 course at any cost. The class challenging but it isn't too difficult if you heed his advice. He's available outside of class, jams on his guitar, and respects everyone and his or her opinions. He'll teach you to become a better writer than you'd ever imagine. I'd take him for any other course he teaches.

This was my second time taking professor Dempsey. He is by far my favorite teacher I have ever had at Bentley. Very down to earth and helpful. He encourages students to talk to him outside of class to get a better grasp of the class. If possible, I would love to take him again.

Great Class. Although the work load was greater than other expos classes, I think it is worth it. You really have a better understanding of writing and are more confident in your speaking abilities. This class is worth the extra effort.
