Professor Ready was a really nice guy, I loved his class. I used to stay after class almost every day and chat with him for a few minutes about current events in the stock market and the economy. Super cool dude, I learned a lot from him. Unfortunately he passed away over the summer, I was hoping to take more classes with him.

Best professor I had this semester. There is no homework. All you have to do is study, attend class regularly, always take notes during lectures, ask questions when you have any doubts and bring up topics relevant to macroeconomics. Tests can be stressful, so let him know in advance so you can take your test at the testing center.

Jack Ready was possibility the worst economics teacher you could have. He was consistently late to class and his notes on the board are absolutely terrible. Everyone fails the tests, but he always curves them so people pass. If you actually want to learn something do not take this guy.

Unconventional. Didn't use book at all basically. I don't know what the complaints are about though. Pay attention, take notes, be aware of what's going on, and you'll learn a lot. Tests were mostly fair. You just need to listen to what he says and you'll do fine on the tests.

While I have to admit Mr Ready is like a economic dictionary, his class seemed impossible to pass. You are only graded on three different tests, which are literally impossible to study for. Economics is a pretty complex subject and Mr Ready's way of teaching just doesn't make it clear

AWESOME teacher. Made macro economics come to life. Learned a TON of neat stuff. You must take DETAILED notes and you should get an A and actually learn something in the process.

Absolute worst teacher I have ever had. What he explains in class is not in the text book and therefore is impossible to study. He repeats himself a thousand times but never actually answers any questions that are asked. He is constantly late to class and may not even show up. The average test grades for his students were D's or F's. No lie.

Though professor Ready is a very nice professor, he isn't helpful with the topics that he teaches in class in any way, shape, or form. He would tend to end class 15-30 minutes early every day because no one knew what was going on and he wasn't receiving the questions that he was "hoping" for. He is a very disorganized professor.

Very knowledgeable about the subject of economics. Read the book (he gives you page numbers on syllabus) before classes so you don't get lost. Take notes on any specific statistics he gives you, because they are on the test. Know formulas and graphs. I received an A, but i spent much time online reading further in depth about topics.

Prof Ready provides one of the most interesting college courses I have yet taken. He knows his stuff and makes every effort to make the course relevant & understandable to all students. We are now completing our coverage of monetary policy and I now understand how the Federal Reserve works. Great course, even better teacher.

While Prof Ready is very passionate about economics, i have never had such a disorganized professor. His syllabus was completely array with only dates for exams but no real idea of what to read in the book. His lectures were similar as well. Slides with words on them that dont go together. Most students had to read the book just to get Cs on exams.

Prof. Ready is one of the best knows what he is teaching and if you come to class, pay undivided attention and take good notes you will do just fine. He treats his students as adults and expects that they study the book and prepare before coming to class but most students do the complete opposite since they like being treated as kindergarten kids.

Has great intentions pertaining to the information provided in his lessons but, the information is presented in an unorganized fashion which can make it extremely difficult to keep up at times. Jack Ready is a really nice guy, but his methods of teaching are questionable.

Don't take. He's very nice but extremely unorganized and he doesn't know how to teach economics. He curves everything and you learn barely nothing. He expects you to read and learn on your own and his tests make no sense at all.

Prof. Ready makes a tough course understandable. His use of visual models is a great teaching tool. Jack, really cares about his students and is always willing to go the extra mile to help you master a concept or a relationship. The best teacher I have ever had. He knows his stuff and makes every effort to communicate his enthusiasm for macro.

Great teacher and person. His lessons are interesting and inciteful. Take Jack for any economics course. The only set back is that of the students. The 13th graders hold the class back sometimes but Jack keeps them in check.

Comment:
Prof Ready has an ability to relate real-time events within the US economy to the theory of the course. He is respectful of students and sets high standards. As a result of this teacher I will likely major in economics. If you want a great teacher take Prof Ready, but lets face it many students don't come to class prepared.
