I struggled with Organic Chemistry and professor was so helpful explaining the material. I went to his office hours and he explained the formulas and concepts I didn't know. He trully cared for me to understand it and improve my grade. I began to like organic chemistry and study more as well. I highly recommend him! One of the kindest teachers.

Comment:

Really liked his lectures. He explains material well. Do practice tests and quizzes! He explains material well during his office hours if you missed a class. I had difficulty understanding some concepts and he made me draw reactions on the board which helped me to finally understand it. I highly recommend this professor.

Jim was concerned as to whether or not his students learned the concepts. Organic II goes plenty in depth as far as material goes, compared to Organic I. He always pushed for office hours, and left plenty of time during lecture to sufficiently answer questions. He added a bit of humor, too. His tests were uniform, though usually pretty difficult.

Prof. Gloer is a great professor. You can tell he really knows what he's talking about, is very passionate, and is extremely helpful in office hours. Going to lecture didn't help me much, just do the practice problems in the book as much as possible and you'll do okay.

It is obvious he knows his business. Really clear speaker, humorous, really does want you to learn the material and will go above and beyond to help you. Also, multiple page written tests are graded and back to you in like 48 hours. Its incredible. I hate to think of college like a consumer, but I totally got my money's worth here.

Gloer was awesome. Soft spoken and kind of nerdy, but very concerned that his students actually LEARN and UNDERSTAND the material. Exams are very straight forward. I wish he would've taught the entire course!

This is a very tough class (organic in general is). Even tho i only got a C+ in it, he is a very very good lecturer and very nice. You know EXACTLY what to expect on a test (completely the opposite of Bowden [4:122]). Concerned whether you're really learning the material he presents. A good guy.
