This class was super easy online. I think it is almost unnecessary to take this in class. Compared to my other classes it was a light background breeze.

Comment:

Group project was hard because it was an online class and it was hard to meet. The project wasn't well communicated and she graded it kind of tough. She was available to help when needed.

Comment:

I learned the hard way: coming on discussion days is optional but the discussion work IS mandatory. Also, she opens up SAM tests at the end again (only if you have attempted, but haven't used all your tries yet). Other than that, clear cut class. I would recommend taking it online though instead of as a hybrid class.

Comment:

Was a hybrid class. This is easy if you take the time to do the self tests and study aides. It's the same questions on the test. You have to look up answers yourself, but if you do, you'll ace the test. Copy and paste into Word to study later. Go to discussions and receive extra credit. Not personable, but that's not what college is for.

This class was really fun. Sad that SIUE decided to put Java and VB together. The tests are down right HARD, but the projects are fun. Gave me an appreciation for programmers. You may have to google some code every now and then, but gives you the tools to complete the projects. Comes off mean at first, but really nice once you get to know her.

This class required soooo much work, and I feel like she didn't do anything to actually teach the class. We taught the class through group presentations, and other than that the instruction was online through the book. Quizzes every week, tests are extremely difficult.

I would email her and every response i received from her was extremely rude. Did not help at all when I asked for help, and clearly did not care about her students at all. I would not recommend at all.

Really enjoyed the class; however, chose your teams well. I ended up doing the work myself because my team had no idea what was going on. Tests were extremely had, as are all programming tests. The lectures were helpful, but when we did the exercises in class there was a lot of copy and paste. I would take her again if given the choice.

She is seriously the worse teacher I have ever had. Says she has office hours and wants to work with you but when you ask for the help, she is not willing to give out extra time. Nice at first, but If you don't understand what is going on you're screwed. All I can say is don't take this class with her or good luck.

boring lectures, tons of tedious work with no point, spend a long time on assignments for little points, tests are ridiculousness,SAM exams take forever, a class that should be easy but she makes it difficult and grades harshly

Awful teacher. Doesn't work with students at all. Won't accept work even 1 minute late. Boring, presents information to make it seem useless. Gives a lot of busy work, so make sure you have more than 24 hours in your day before you take a class with the big U.

The in-class portion is a joke. She only requires you to attend class one day a week the other is what she calls a 'lab day.' She is incredibly unreasonable and WILL not work with you on grades. SHE DOES NOT GIVE A STUDY GUIDE, So read your online book regularly and do the self quizzes or you wont pass any of her exams.

This class was not bad at all. There is just busy work, and you have to know your syllabus and check it every week. The tests come straight from the practice quizzes (which I did 3x each). Just do your work well and study, you'll get an A.

She is the worst professor I have ever had!!! She sends rude emails and does not communicate with her students at all. She is focused more on her running schedule then on her students. Never take her as a teacher. Hopefully the University fires her soon.

Must pay attention in class, but if you do that, you should pass. The multiple choice sections on the test are a pain, you never know what to expect so definitely take the practice tests she gives! Not a terrible class though
