Comment:

Giacobbe is a great teacher. Really passionate about the subject. If you don't care to study and learn the material, you won't do well. This is a class you have to work for, but definitely not impossible to get an A. Helpful and funny guy. Takes attendance in class. GO to class and take notes and do the homework and you'll be fine!

The information is pretty much straight forward, but somehow he makes the easiest materials seem confusing. The class is pretty easy if you can teach yourself. Seemed to be alot of work for a B. The SI sessions are very helpful and clear up confusing teaching strategies.

Required attendance (plus seating chart). The course is hard, it moves fast, PRINT OUT THE PP SLIDES. He can be rude and harsh. Grading harsh (all or nothing). Accessible before/after class to help. NEW this semester is allowing a cheat sheet on tests - which is what saved me. Wouldn't have survived without it

He is very passionate. But he treats his students like children....Mandatory seating chart as well as attendance. He does however care A LOT about how well the students do. Sometimes he lectures. His tests were pretty difficult. If you havent had math for awhile stay away from summer session in this class.

Hard class, passionate teacher, but he sometimes he lectures like a parent. Always offers help in class/office hours. Tests are kinda hard but he gives you a heads up on what will be on it. Uses power point as main teaching tool. Takes attendance for participation points. Calls on EVERYONE in class for answers.

Comes off mean and arrogant but he is very helpful and carring towards students. He doesn't take bull, and gives hard quizzes and tests. His project is difficult as well. Overall you will learn a lot because he is easy to pay attention to because of his level of interest in the subject and his care for the students.

Really hard quizzes at least once a week. It made me mad when i studied because he would put some ridiculous questions. He yells....a lot. I did well on the mid-term, but 500 points out of 1000 are due the last two days of class. Who knows how I'll do

The first day he started lecturing the class... not like a teacher give a lecture but like a parent lectures a child. His notes were all from power point and I felt rushed. Not a good course to take during the summer!

Excellent professor!! He geniually cares about his students. When he lectures, you feel like he is yelling at you, but that is his style. If you do your work and put in a lot of time and effort, I am proof that you can get an A. He is highly recommended and one of the best professors the School of Business has. Get in his class if you can!! :)

Possibly one of the hardest graders on a 5 page paper that I have ever had! Good luck if ya get him!Gives random pop quizzes on the material...no other teacher does that! Good thing that this class is getting canned!

At first he reminds me of a Drill Sergeant, but as you get to know his style and pick up on the type of questions he asks, the class gets easier..Just pay attention and do as he asks and you'll breeze through the course..Studying does help though!
