Makes the class smooth! He cares about his students. Very helpful if you email him. The class will probably challenge you into re-thinking political issues. There's homework every week. You need to keep up. If you just do the work you should get a decent grade and very possibly an A or B.

I was late to register for classe so I ended up with Joe Georges and I was very worried because of all the terrible reviews on rate my professor. The answers to the quizzes are ALL in the book. There is one essay that only has to be 2 to 3 pages and he grades lenient. Make sure to do all the extra credit!! Im a B and C student and I got an A! Easy

Very awful professor. When we had discussions online, he expected for you to give a whole essay. Very rude when you email him. Quizzes are hard because he makes the questions himself. Doesn't tell you what he expects.

HORRIBLE. He thinks he's super helpful in the class but really just makes sure everything is hard. There's one essay, there's discussion posts and quizes every week, midterm, and final.

Expected logic to be challenging. And it was. Didnt expect it to be fun. But parts were. Kudos to the teacher for all the help he gave us, esp practice problems & a conference call before categorical logic test. Exam qs are problems. Not a class in which you can look up answers for tests. Did much better than I thought I would.

One of the best instructors Ive had at El Camino or CSU. His notes are interesting. The class discussions were good, and some were outstanding. Theres a short paper, but thats common. And the instructor was flexible about deadlines when I had to travel. I wont have a chance to take another PS class from him, but would if I could.

It's as if he doesn't want anyone to pass his class. He makes everything way harder than it is and grades really tough. I worked really hard and I'm an A student and I still got a B. Stay away from this professor. His notes doesn't help at all and his quizzes, finals, midterms are really hard. Average is C+. That is really low...

He has weekly discussions, weekly quizzes, one essay, a midterm and a finals. He expected an essay for each of his discussions and he marks off any points he can for every little thing. His quizzes were straight from the book and tricky. His essay was easy but marks you off for anything. His finals and midterm were long and contained two essays.

Took this class online last semester. Homework assignments through Aplia. Make sure to complete ALL work given and you wont fail. If you read the online book and read through his emails, you should be able to better understand. If you need extra help, theres another prof on youtube that goes thru the same book, chapter by chapter! Good Luck!

There is online graded homework and lots of it. I thought the textbook wasn't needed because his notes were helpful and the homework site gives you instructions. The tests can be hard but the homework should prepare you. He also gives a small practice exam with the type of questions you will see on the test.

A good teacher, but not the easiest I've had. Parts of Introduction to Symbolic Logic are tough, but you will learn if you read the text and his online notes and do the homework. It's possible to get a good grade as long as you put the effort in. I had family problems during the course and Professor Georges was very understanding.

This professor made an already tough subject even tougher. Extremely tough exams even when hours of studying are spent. This was an online class and he actually made us show up to campus for the final exam which was closed book and note.

Weekly online hw, 3 online exams, 1 final in person. You have to pay $100 for the homework website, but it's worth it. HW is 25% of your grade & it really helped me grasp the material. I didn't need the book. I just did the HW. I could have gotten an A, but I missed the 2 weeks of HW that happened to be about 1/4 of the HW points. So I got a B.

Though I found the curriculum boring the class wasn't too bad. Took it online. The tests were long but all the answers were in the book. Not an easy A but could definitely get a solid B, plus a few extra credit opportunities..

Professor Georges was overall a very chill, helpful professor. He assigns one paper with several quizzes, a midterm, and a final based on the textbooks used throughout the course. The discussions are important too. I'm glad I chose this professor in comparison to the other professors that taught this online course.

Professor Georges is cool. The quizzes and exams are from the textbook. Just ensure to participate in the week online discussion board and complete the two essay projects. Easy A if you do the work.

Professor Georges is very clear and precise, which is especially helpful when dealing with a subject as complex as philosophy. The online course was challenging, but only because of the material. His teaching style is easy going and if you read the sections and use the CD before tests and assignments, you will pass with no problems. I recommend.

Mr. Georges is a very nice teacher, very helpful as well! His online class is great my only advice however is write down all the words to be defined, and study them about 2-3 weeks before final and midterm (which you have to come in for) otherwise, do the work, blog, and take the open book tests and it can be an easy A!

Very accommodating - gives you an idea what will be on test and generally pretty easy to get an A - I took online class and as long as you pace yourself from week to week, should not be a problem getting an A.
