I think John Andrews is one of the best teachers in the Graphic Design program. He's not overly lenient but he's also not ridiculous with his expectations. He's very knowledgable and super talented. I've enjoyed his classes. I rated his textbook use a 3 because there are a lot of art supplies you need to buy for most of his beginning classes.

I had him for Color Media. He was a GREAT teacher and would highly recommend him to anyone. Take him for illustration. For Color Media. Basically anything you can. Really smart and talented. Knows how to help everyone.

I took his Drawing for Illustration class. While John has a lot of guidelines and very strong suggestions that you pretty much need to follow, you do learn a lot and won't be disappointed with your product. While he is often on the more serious side, he can be down to earth and really funny. Be engaged and do your very best and you'll do fine.
