I don't appreciate her teaching style. it's all over the place and boring to keep up with. don't bother doing her assignments; you get close to no points because she makes up her own rubric that's not practical anywhere but her class. her class is a waste of time; take it some where else at the U or at MCTC instead if you can.

When taking Kari Nelson, be prepared to take notes, read your entire text book, and work hard! She expects alot out of you! She is a tough grader and if you get behind, it is hard to catch up. Even though she is the hardest teacher I have taken at North central, I have also learned more in her class than any other.

Kari is awesome! Very fun to be around... she has tons of insight and is a really good teacher. You will learn a lot from her... she can be tough, but she wants people to work for things and own it. I enjoy her in and out of class... she really cares about us... she will just stop and talk with you about whatever and that is amazing. She does so much but is still willing to take time for her students/advisees. I love her classes even though I have to read and do the work... I love the discussions. She rocks

Kari gave me my first "D" ever! But I loved her for it. She (along with Dan) challenged me more than even my graduate profs did! I respected her so much because I knew she had to work hard when she was in school and that is why she expects so much from us. Looking back at my experience, she was by far my favorite prof

Kari is THE BEST prof bar none at NCU. you better work on your notetaking skills though because she lectures at the speed of light. She expects ALOT from her students and takes crap from no one. If you're a psyc major you better get APA style down fast. i learned so much from her, i can't tell you how much i miss her classes since graduating

Kari is a professor that challenges you and yet you learn so much from her classes. I love going to classes with her. She is an incredible person and professor and it's obvious she knows what she's talking about. She's also very funny and animated.
