extremely fair class if you attend lectures and keep up on homework! if you do most of the assigned questions and attend lectures as nothing is posted online you'll be set. the tests are made up of the textbook questions and are not extremely challenging. he wants you to do well!!

Hard class but fair if you keep up on your homework and attended every class. He's very clear and always answers questions. There's very few surprises on quizzes and tests, the final was the most difficult. Awesome teacher!!!

Larry is a great professor - highly recommend him! He gives great notes in class, but doesn't post anything on blackboard so attendance is important. His assignments and tests were straightforward and he always willing to help you out if you have questions.

This guy is very enthusiastic andhas a booming voice so you won't fall asleep. His quizzes every week are challenging. The first midterm seemed much easier than the final. Overall definitely recommend this prof!

Really good prof. One of MRU's finest to date. I would highly recommend him for MATH 1217. His quizzes, midterms and finals are pretty straightforward. Just took my calc final yesterday and it was off the chain. He knows his stuff and always comes to class fully prepared. U should have no trouble getting an easy A in this class!

Took Barkwell for 1217 and 1219. Best engineering prof I've had yet compared to the others. If you don't get something, just ask he will explain. Not the easiest course, but would recommend this prof for it over any other math profs except digby.

Comment:

A superb teacher. Clarifies all concepts to make them very understandable. If you attend most of the lectures, you will have no problems whatsoever in this class. Many of my friends also taking Calculus would sit in Larry's class, because he explained the material far better than their own teachers. One of the best teachers at Mount Royal.

Larry is a great instructor. He does get off track sometimes during the course but other than that, his teaching is commendable.He makes the concepts very clear. Just do all the assigned questions and attend his classes and you will do really well!
