Great prof. Marc is easy to understand and follow in his well organized lectures. If you attend the lectures and labs you will do fine in the class. If you expect A's then you will need to put in the extra time and effort. Marc provides excellent help when you get stuck on a topic/assignment, make sure to ask for help when you need it!

Marc is the best professor I've had at MRU. He puts so much effort into preparing lectures, tutorials, and labs - he really cares about the success of his students. His class wasn't easy; the assignments were a lot of work and the tests were difficult, but he explained the material very well and was very helpful during office hours.

Great prof. He posts his lecture notes (but you still need to attend lectures), is clear with expectations, and always makes time to answer questions. Tough midterm and final, but not terrible if you do the work and study.

This guy is probably the SMARTEST prof I've ever had. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE and helpful with clear notes. Puts so much effort in preparing notes, labs and tutorials that really help you learn and succeed. With all that said though, his courses are really tough and his midterms and finals are BRUTAL. So if you're serious, normally attending, go for it!

Fantastic prof. Marc is very approachable, helpful, and clear with assignment expectations. He seems to really enjoy teaching which translates well in his lectures. He expects you to put the work into the assignments and rewards accordingly. Can't recommend this professor enough.

Class was extremely dull! I don't think it was due to the instructor but rather the material. He was approachable, available, and helpful. He wasn't bad to look at in class either.

Uses another text for Haskell. ISBN: (0-201-3425-8). Anyways, awesome professor and extremely knowledgeable. Even if it's questions related to another course (i.e COMP3355) he can answer questions with precision. Gives good hints on how to solve problems, although be wary of his midterms and finals since they are the most brutal. High enthusiasm

Very helpful and approachable, answered all my questions. Extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter and breaks it down with great notes. Marc is one of those very few teachers that actually seem to enjoy the "teaching" part of their job.

Very well laid out notes, great examples, fair exams and quizzes. Barely even needed to read the textbook for this course, and the assignments were helpful in understanding the subject without being excessively difficult. He even kept the lectures interesting, and actually has a voice (unlike some profs that you need to mic just to hear them..._.

Very awesome prof, I'm currently in 4th year (transferring to UofC in 2nd year), I only wish to have profs as good as marc now. He will teach you much more than the scope of 2233 (but without adding much more time), you will understand much more in the future by taking 2231 and 2233 from him.

People complain a lot because he marks hard, but if you want to learn, then take this is the guy for you. I'm in third year and still coasting off what this guy taught me. Highly reccomended if you can work hard.
