Seemed really scary at first, but deep down inside, he's a nice guy. Teaches not only for his benefit, but for the benefit of his studies. He doesn't tolerate noise or SHI* from anyone. It's a shame that's he retiring after his summer course, but he well deserves it. Anyone who says other wise is crazy.

Biggest reason I didn't major in this subject was : I did not want another class with him. I don't care how many times he mentions "I played football for Oklahoma State University..." (which is in every class...) and I really don't care about his incidents with tall women at bars when he was young and handsome. About 10 minutes of every class is for sociology. The rest is a history of Mr. Brightman. I learned more Sociology in my Anthro class. Thanks Dr. Duval!

All I had to do was memorize the text. Easy Easy Easy. No essays, no class presentations, just attendance and 2 out of 3 good test scores and I got thru fine! I personally enjoyed Brightman's perspective, it made me laugh. Everyone needs to lighten up!
