Good Professor! Had sense of humor and very knowledgable. Easy to understand the topics she covered. Hardly used book but the Lab book is a must! If you study, you should do fine. The grading standards were lower than normal (my test in normal stand. was a fail, but with her stand., it a C!). I hardly studied but passed! RIP Professor Gillespie!

Do not take if you are looking to kill a GE requirement. It will just bring your GPA down.Extremely difficult class and this is coming from a normally A student. Felt like a four hundred level class. Class is extremely hard that she ends up curving to make an F become a C letter grade. The textbook was extremely expensive and we didn't even use it.

Nice lady, curved the grade scale so 50 percent is passing. But I had absolutely no idea what to study for her tests. Kinda scatter brained and easily distracted. Seems like she's also a failing aspiring comedian.

This class was pretty tough for a GE course, you need to spend a good amount of time studying or you will fail. The professor though was really helpful and taught the class well. She gets you ready for the exams but its up to you to study or not..! In conclusion you WILL learn something walking out of this class!

As much as I liked Prof. Gillespie and the class itself, I would NOT recommend this class. She grades the tests ridiculously hard, which is seen in the way she curves. We didn't use the textbook at ALL, all you need is the course reader.

This is the hardest class I have taken in 3 years. The title is food and nutrition and it is a 100 level course. She tells you, that you need an F to pass because she grades on a curve and that was the signal to how difficult the class is. I would not recommend to anyone unless you really enjoy chemistry. If looking for GE, do not make same mistake

Enthusiastic about the subject and teaching, but can get sidetracked. Notes are sort of unorganized, but are vital to the tests. She makes it sound fun, but the book makes it difficult. It's a hard subject, but if you ask her questions for clarity it should be fine. Do the homework. Those points will save you later. She curves greatly

hard class especially if you don't like to study but it's really interesting. you really need to study and do your homework because those points will rack up. She's a really nice teacher but the class is not easy.

easy class! take Dr. Gillespie for nutrition. I got an A studying 1-2 hours three exams and she drops the lowest exam. I remember someone in class got a 99% before the final. The final is cumulative and is worth 40 % of your grade but it was quite easy. She gives out practice exams for every test to make it as easy as possible.

Difficult class but i managed through to get an A-. She grades very hard on exams, so make sure you clearly write what she's looking for. There are three exams with the lowest one drop (excluding the final). Final is cumulative! Make sure you write down good notes and attend class regularly

Dr. Gillespie is ok I guess but her grading scale rocks. What? 55% too pass the class? She assigns homework to help us with tests and gives study guides for them too. Tests for are fair but sometimes they are effin hard. You gotta go to class to understand the material. Warning: Lots of notes so be prepared. She is very enthusiatic about the subjec

Good teacher. Knows what she is talking about. Need to go to class. Lectures really important, what she goes over in lectures are on the tests. Gives out study guides. Make you actually study for the tests. She drops one midterm. Homework every week...actually graded. Take her class...she is a great professor.

Good professor, but you have to attend class to have the materials necessary to pass the exams. There are 3 exams excluding the final, and she throws out the lowest of the 3. Diet assigment was also very easy.

This was by far my most difficult class this semester, but she made it interesting. Weekly quizzes are a pain, but they are helpful because they force you to keep up with the material. She randomly gives extra credit if only half the class shows up, and she's really helpful during her office hours. Just make sure your phones are off during exams.

She is the nicest lady but seriously this class is effing hard. HARD. Even with her very low grading scale 55% is a C and a dropped test, 50% of the students (we are talking 100+ enrollment) got lower than 55%. Thats not laziness... thats a hard a$$ class. She is super super super sweet, though. Just thank God this is not a 'C' or better GE!

This class was extremely hard! Very interesting subject, but all her tests were essays/short answer questions, so you don't know what she expects for an answer, and the final is cumulative. Nice and fun teacher, interesting subject, very hard exams though! Take her if you want a challenge.
